  1. USPS Craziness

Charge more for S&H. It doesn't help the issue you're having but it gives you some cushion. USPS has slowed quite a bit for me too. Still a cheap option since I can pop over to the Piggly Wiggly and send stuff out.
  2. Parking Sign with Changeable Slot

Wow, that's a lot of coin! If folks are willing to pay that it would be worth making them in house.
  3. How to increase life of self-healing cut mat

Use a thinner blade profile. Utility knife blades make a wider cut in the mat that doesn't "heal" as well. That's been my experience over the years YMMV.
  4. Pontoon Boats

    That's what I'm talkin' about. :)
  5. Wedding cards

Flexi does VDP as well. No matter the program you start with an Excel file. Building the Excel file will take the most time. After that it's smooth sailing.
  6. Does anyone know if there is a way for the printer to bypass reading/detecting ink cartridges?

I run the 1 liter bags on my 1624x. Didn't want to and told the dealer to deliver the printer with 440 carts. He set me up with the 1 liter bags. Glad he didn't listen. Found the bulk ink I mentioned.(was bugging me that I couldn't remember) If you want to run third party ink they're...
  7. Need Seal 65 EL replacement rollers

Maybe these folks can help: rol-tec.com Not sure if it would be cost effective or not.
  8. Pontoon Boats

Some years back a guy would run the Fox River by Green Bay with his jet boat. Could easily spray traffic on the 172 bridge. You're from Wisconsin so I figured you'd know the spot.;) Client picked up a Donzi last year. Twin supercharged 540ci big blocks. Told him I want to go for relaxing...
  9. Does anyone know if there is a way for the printer to bypass reading/detecting ink cartridges?

If you're set up for 1liter bags I saw third party ink for $116 a bag.(can't remember who or where) I imagine they supply a card with each bag just like OEM so no having to hack your firmware.
  10. Pontoon Boats

That's me. We rent pontoons from time to time. Easy to board especially for the dog. Can also take a grill and cooler. Truth is there are other boats I'd love to have but are impractical for relaxing or using as a dive platform. The list: Sanger picklefork, Eliminator tunnel hull, anything...
  11. Pontoon Boats

Learning a lot about pontoon trailers. Unreal to hear a pontoon trailer costs 2800 bucks when I can buy a used fishing/ski boat with trailer for that. Maybe I need to rethink the pontoon program.
  12. Pontoon Boats

Thanks for chiming with good points I didn't think of. Folks selling the boat but keeping the trailer must be renting them out. Still weird as every other boat except for a pontoon comes with a trailer. I'll keep looking. Going to run out to Chickenshack Road this week and look at a couple...
  13. Pontoon Boats

Question of the day: Why do people selling their pontoon boats keep the trailer? All the ads I've ever looked at don't include the trailer.(been looking since last year) Yet you go to the dealer to buy a pontoon boat and it includes the trailer.o_O Are they that valuable a commodity? Better...
  14. XC 540 what is it worth?

This^^^ Old tech and there's probably more clogged stuff than just the heads. Cap tops, dampers, lines...you'd have to check the complete ink train right back to the cartridges.
  15. Need Help Our A/C just went out.................

If you don't know what you're doing best left to the pros. 220v feed will kill you. Then theres the low voltage side that can cause weird issues. Like pops always said: "If you don't know what it does don't touch it".
  16. Customer Mask Requirements

Home based, business by email/text, nobody stops by unless picking up which is almost never. Pick ups are put on the porch. Only have contact with two other shop people that I supply and their shop has been on lockdown for months. Other than that I wear my "muzzle" where I'm required to do...
  17. Direct to wall inkjet

Have to run a covert op. :D. The more I think about it I believe it has it's place in the market. As far as uneven floors level the track. I'd rather do that than work from ladders, planks, lifts etc... Video I saw had it tracking perfectly over obstructions. Must have some type of laser...
  18. Printing Help SP540V

No videos that I know of. No need to align it in the exact position either. Two calibrations in the service menu take care of letting the printer know where things are. I took the clear cover and top cover off the printer so I had no access issues. When I replaced it I laid the old strip...
  19. Direct to wall inkjet

Good points and maybe why it hasn't made market penetration. The one I saw runs along a track system. Maybe they make track that can be curved? Video showed massive graphics on skyscrapers too.(how do you remove the ink from the glass?) Not sure about any of it, just thought it was neat bit...
  20. Printing Help SP540V

Strip is cheap and easy to replace. If you've never changed yours you can flip it over. It rides so deep in the track that only the top half is exposed. If you want to replace I bought a generic strip for less than $10. IIRC you need one that is 180LPI. Helps to have a second set of hands...
