  1. Help!! Vinyl will not load on SP300V- Coming up as 0.0 wide

Had the same issue recently and replacing the carriage cable did it. There is a FANTASTIC tutorial on here somewhere. When you get the first little black rivet out, lay it on a table a scream every horrible thing you can think to call it. Get it over with on the first one and you don't have...
  2. window perf from inside

Sorry...I meant to say like a big roll of optically clear banner tape.
  3. window perf from inside

Like a big roll of banner tape?
  4. What to do with DWG and DXF...

^^^^^ What he said...only my machine cuts with a raser.
  5. Window Perf

I don't lam and have seen several that actually mildew because of it. The 150% daily humidity here in SC may not help matters.
  6. Help me Obi Wan....SP300 banding

Prints do look wonderful at 16/2/720. I think I'm just going to start allowing more time for jobs. I've spent more time trying to troubleshoot the thing than it would've taken to finish the 3 panels. Anybody know a good Roland tech in the southeast? I'm a better designer than printer fixer.
  7. Weeding Tools

I have a pair of LaCross tweezers I stole from my wife 3 years ago. If I need anything smaller than that I try and print it.
  8. Help me Obi Wan....SP300 banding

Sorry for a repeat. I know this has been covered before. I'm to the point now where I guess I have to look at manually adjusting the head. All tests print fine. I have to reprint some damaged panels from a past job (prior to the banding issues) and I'm having to print at 16 passes/2...
  9. Does anyone else enjoy working late?

Got a cargo hauler to finish before 8am tomorrow morning and everything I've touched today has turned to complete sh!t. Here's to working late. It is nice to have that freedom.

  11. Best way to remove full vinyl windows

Welcome. In my limited experience the ease at which the vinyl comes off is directly proportionate to the quality of vinyl that was applied. My only issue with heating it it that you can completely separate the vinyl from the adhesive and leave yourself a bigger mess than you had. Don't forget...
  12. Please keep my family in your prayers.

So, so sorry for your loss.
  13. Edges not straight?

Update........yes it's 6:00am Eastern. Can you tell this has to go out today? So the panel alignment issues had NOTHING to do with this. At some point during this 9 panel job (I'm guessing panels 3 or 4) the scale got bumped up by .25%. Doesn't sound like a lot unless you are seaming pretty...
  14. Edges not straight?

I used the clamps (which means I stood there pressing the sheet cut button 14 times before I realized I disabled it. It seems to have corrected itself but I'm also pre-feeding media off of a new roll so lots of varying factors. Thanks for all the help and I will give the encoder a swipe. Now...
  15. Edges not straight?

1/2" overlap seems to be plenty. Last couple of panels have been fine. I'm prefeeding the material rather than have it "bump" off the roll and that appears to be helping. Sticky....brand new encoder strip last month. No whammies...no whammies.
  16. Edges not straight?

Hi all, Printing (Roland Sp300/Colorip) some 82" tall sections for a trailer and noticed while trimming that the edges aren't straight. At first I thought I'd trimmed my straight edge concave but that ain't it. The print seems to start fine, then move inward (outward on the other side) the back...
