  1. Price check, aisle 1 (ce5000-60)

    Is there any value left in my very good condition 24" Graphtec CE5000-60? Before listing in classifieds - can someone help me with a price? Thanks all.
  2. 290 lamin-ACK!

    Slicing the backing paper of 290 laminate is my last favorite thing about the sign industry and maybe the world. Carry on.
  3. Bad HP cartridges

    Anyone have problems with their ink drying up? That is all I can figure is happening. I get premature, low ink warnings, take the cartirdge out to shake it and it sounds like the cartridge is full of rocks. This has been happening more and more lately. Just sent two magenta back on warranty...
  4. Banner quality...

    I believe we have tried this and key banner, with the same results. Likely the same material, I guess. Yes, you can see the scrim through the ink. Happens very intermittently, varies by location and color. But not like there is a spot of residue. In that first photograph, those poor results...
  5. Banner quality...

    After 3 years, I have yet to get consistant results with our profile setting for Ultraflex/Jetflex banner on our L25500 at 10 pass. I may have tweaked the out of the box settings at one point, but media settings are as follows: Curing: 100 C Drying: 55 C Vacuum: 5 As you can see i the...

    Eureka! Happy thanksgiving everyone!
  7. HP L25500 just exploded

    Alight. Fixed her with Gemini parts. an extra 1/2" spacer fit perfectly snug into bearing set. Almost custom like. For now, a Gemini 3/16" stud is holding it in place. I would prefer a tighter fit so bearing can properly do its thing. But wanted to see if the theory was sound first. No idea...

  12. HP L25500 just exploded

    In the middle of a print job, things went loud and I presume the part that holds the belt that controls the print head movement exploded. This is all that is left. Is this an easy fix? Anyone know a part number? Do I call HP directly? Happy Thanksgiving everyone. Nothing is easy, Gregg
  13. Static cling vinyl in standard colors?

    Not a bad idea - this is for a snipe campaign on a limited budget - so I was hoping to keep material costs and labor as low as possible. But this may be the only way. Thanks.
  14. Static cling vinyl in standard colors?

    Anyone know of a cut static cling vinyl offered in standard colors? I am looking for hot pink, in particular. I am only finding white - for printing. Thanks and Happy new year.
  15. 300 g paper on HPL2500 :: Headstrikes

    That was the manufacturers recommendation also - and we compensated by loading up a 3" core to keep consistent pressure on tack up reel --- which seemed to work. And I just got into my second 53x38 print...annnnnnnd. Head strike. So now, even if all goes seamlessly from this point forward, I am...
  16. 300 g paper on HPL2500 :: Headstrikes

    Thanks for your help, by the way. I always appreciate it.
  17. 300 g paper on HPL2500 :: Headstrikes

    Yes - I have done that a few times when trying to work with this heavier stock. I don't want to get into art reproductions (I know this machine would not excel in that catagory and I know I don't want to deal with those clients), but it would be nice to have a nice, heavy rag - like a good...
  18. 300 g paper on HPL2500 :: Headstrikes

    Heat settings all the way down. Air flow all the way up. Printed a 12 x 18 snipe with success. Cross your fingers - 405 feet to go.
  19. 300 g paper on HPL2500 :: Headstrikes

    Thanks Colorado - Just for grins, I decreased them way down. Running 60c Curing, 40C Drying. Still get consistent strikes. I know it's a heat thing - the prints starts fine - 3-5" in, when things start heating up, it must start buckling. Hadn't messed with airflow.
  20. 300 g paper on HPL2500 :: Headstrikes

    Trying to print some heavier stock posters on the HPL2500 - specifically the LexJet Velvet Rag SUV. http://www.lexjet.com/i-15822-LexJet-Sunset-Velvet-Rag-SUV-54in-x-100ft-SVRSUV5410.aspx Of course, they do not have a Caldera profile, but I was assured that I would love the way this stuff...
