I've made a few of these now for friends as gifts. This one was for a home office with an industrial theme. Made with wood. Letters cut on scroll saw. Painted and distressed.

Not sure where you read that, but it's just not true. Red on black together isn't very legible, and so shouldn't be used for any main copy, but they go well together otherwise in backgrounds and accents. Not everything has to "JUMP" off the sign/page, just the important parts. :)

For 18 x 24 4mm Coroplast signs that will hang on a light pole, would you have the flutes run vertically or horizontally?

Wow. That is by far a nicer look than trimcap.

Lot's of good advice on this thread along with other interesting opinions. Like I said, I'm not looking for a job. I make a living with my design work. I just need a creative outlet and would like to increase my income a bit, so I'm in NO RUSH to go after coroplast, banners, wraps etc...
