Are you importing the AI files, or just trying to open? Also try right click - ungroup objects...

bring the side that does not have the power cord to the edge of the table. Unscrew three screws on the bottom side of the black side cover.. open top, open bail arm and lift out the panel. ( of course while all unplugged). You will see 2 axis board, CPU board, and Printer cable connections.

I used to do that with my edge and graphtec thru Flexi- but issue is less print area due to crop marks

When it stops-is the foil motor still running? And the line is perpendicular to the hole punch pattern- right?

Issue was found to be a bad printhead. - problem resolved- good thing I own more than one gerber edge.

If you are printing mostly on clear-- have you looked at samples of a floodcoat from the versacam compared to the Edge? I have a feeling the white floodcoat on the thermal printer would be superior to the aqueos ink.

Netsol, I think the power for the head comes from P886 and P888 on this diagram? the series of Black and gray wires each have their own tiny solder joint. Sellers, I would check the connections at power supply, to capacitor board? ( I will check my own also).

Update - swapped the data cable from my other edge - same problem... on to the next possibility....

I just swapped mine- you have to remove the foil squeegee - and dancer bar for better access. then unplug- let the thin part of the cable by the brass part- then fanagle the connector out past the head in the wider area. The black plug grommet- just push it straight up to get out.
