When you re-linearized what did it tell you? It should show what has changed. I am assuming that for some reason re-linearization did not bring back correct color?
Even if I have a small piece I wind it around the idler rollers and tape them to the main roller to start and then lower the main rollers and keep some tension by hand around the idler roller and then main roller once it gets past the idler roller. You see how well the laminate works when it is...
When I looked at the manual for your 65El it shows a lower unwind shaft. Without that it would be a real challenge to keep the vinyl straight and or even when over-laminating any length. Have you tried using a sled? Not real practical for anything 8' and over though.
Prue hue, Pure Primary, etc. different RIPs call it by different names. And the really cool RIPs allow you to pick a color with a eyedropper and give it a different output color. Pretty sure Onyx can do that. I know Colorgate can. I loaded a Linux/Caldera demo on a drive on an unused PC box the...
Print to take up roll. Load your printed vinyl on the lower unwind shaft and make sure you have enough tension. Of course make sure you have similar tension on the over-lam on the upper unwind shaft.
There is all kinds on way to start the over-lam and vinyl. I prefer to tape them to the main...
There is your problem. Canned profile not made for your specific printer or environment. What a waste of time and materials.
Make your own profiles. There is no substitute for proper color management.
Give us some more information about your Linearization and Profile making process. Possibly an error there or bad spectro. Also there is a setting for pure primaries and I believe Onyx has an option to set the output colors independent of Color Management.
Recoated roller is back and installed. A-Korn received it on the May 15th and shipped it back to me on June 1st. They were great to work with. Even looked up the proper crown specifications for the roller. Only issue in the re-coating process was some burring at the end of the shafts that had to...
In the past when when doing flat signage I have used 3M IJ180CV3 and 8519 over-lam. I am always think that is a bit overkill in price but not quality.
So, I am just wondering if anyone has any recommendation on this kind of application that is just as durable but more cost effective?
This is a must read to get a better understanding of what is and has gone on with the L300 series in regards to color issues after firmware upgrades.
Latex 360 color consistency is not there
Create a new media preset and not cloning an existing one is a must. Then create a new calibration for...
Never did this before it failed and did it afterwards even with out heat. It is only one roller that failed, Just one of the heat rollers that was heated most often.
I don't think it is the same issue. How would air get under the roller when it is the bonding agent that has failed and allows the rubber to slip in the roller.
