Ah the old make and install me the sign that I signed off on and if I don't like it I expect you to do a new one for free customer.
This would be a great job if you didn't have to deal with people.
Thanks Mike.I did a data swap with the magenta head and the problem travels with it.No ink on the slider either and new cables. Now I'm thinking it's a data problem and a cyan printhead problem because when I do the swap only half of the cyan head prints getting data from a head that prints...
Started out with head error 007. Then I noticed an ink spill over the cables.I replaced the head cables and did not get the error but got this when I did a test draw. The one pic is with the cables in the correct location. The other is with a data swap.Looks like the problem travels to whatever...
Research is part of making signs.
This is what Oracal says
Can I apply pressure-sensitive films over latex painted surfaces?
Be very cautious when applying vinyl films to flat finish latex painted surfaces. Heavily tinted latex paints contain surfactants (soap-like chemicals) that leach onto...

Who blows the dust out anyhow ?
Makes to much mess for me

City planners and zoning people are always talking about the rebirth of their cities and at the same time they put regulations on the size and type of signs that are allowed.
I think they...
I don't think how fast someone can weed tape and apply vinyl is all that important to the success of a sign shop.
As long as they are doing it right that is laying it down straight with no bubbles etc.
Who cares if if a sign fabricator takes 20 minutes to do a job that you could do in 10...
Nice post Joe Diaz.
I think overhead has a lot to do with it also.
The kitchen sign shop that has no mortgage, employees, payroll tax, insurance and knowledge of what something is worth is always going to be cheaper.
Awning over the door made out of sign off cuts.
Windows made out of sign extrusion and polycarb.
Rest of facade made out of off cuts also.
The door bell is our way of going green.
It's a rope and pulley attached to a clapper inside that strikes a big aluminum letter suspended from the...
