I have been using an SP-300 with windows XP but I have a new computer coming that uses OS-7
Will there be any problems with updating the drivers?
Thanks Jim
I have a few different syringes I use to draw ink from the bottom of the damper and also from the drain line under the capping station and I was wondering if anyone makes a kit that includes syringes and hoses that you can purchase instead of making up all these different connections...
Problem solved
The problem with the magenta back flowing into the yellow damper was caused by a blocked drain line.
Once I replaced the cap top and the hose that connects to the pump along with a new damper for the yellow everything once again is working fine.
I have a few different syringes...
Inks
I have never used third party inks ever!!!!!
The printer has only used original Roland eco-sol max inks since the day it was new.
I just replaced the magenta and yellow cap top and once again the yellow damper thinking that maybe a drain line was blocked.
Because on a two headed printer...
I have a SP-300 and I am trying to figure out what makes the magenta color back flow into the yellow damper?
This is a two headed printer.
I just installed a new yellow damper and I pulled the ink from the bottom of the damper and it worked fine.
This morning the yellow damper is once again...
Test Print
This is the test print that I did and when I looked at it again I can see cross contamination on the magenta and yellow color and that is the color I am having an issue with.
I replaced the yellow damper with a new one and connected my syringe to the bottom of the damper and pulled...
I have an SP-300 and I have been using Color Rip for the past three years with no problems at all.
I have tried sending post scrip images in CMYK and RGB to the printer and in both cases my images are not printing the correct colors as they were in the past.
I have cleaned the encoder strip...
I have an SP-300 and when I create new vector images I send them to the printer using RGB colors.
For some reason the yellow are looking more gold then yellow.
I have done a few medium cleanings which helped a little.
I have also wiped down the encoder strip with alcohol.
I would like to...
I would start at the dampers and see if there is ink in them and that it is the right color first.
If there is no ink in the dampers try pulling from the line before the damper first to see if you can suck the ink through the line. You may have to purchasing a larger syringe other wise this can...
SP or VP 300
If I were in your shoes I would look for a used either SP or VP 300
Many sign shops start out with this machine and then move on to something larger for doing banners and things like that.
I purchase a used SP-300 over two years ago for $5,250.00 dollars and it has worked...
On my SP-300 I am reading from the service Manuel and it say's to turn on the sub power while pressing left, right and down keys + Power On button to enter the service mode.
When I do this the printer beeps and gives me a message saying Service Mode is protected. How do I unprotect it to do a...
I noticed that when I manualy raise the capping station up under the heads that it is not coming level and one side appears to be lower.
Is this something that I need to shim to raise or is it not a problem.
Thanks Jim
Thanks Robert!!!!!!!!!!
I just lowered the capping station and clamped off the drain line and filled the cap top with cleaning fluid and then raised the heads up again.
When adjusting the capping station back up into the heads are you just adjusting until it feels snugged...
How do I release the print head on a Roland SP-300 to move it to the left in order to clamp off the hose below the cap tops so that I can soak the print head.
Thanks Jim
I have a SP-300 Roland Printer and I am using Oracal 3640g and I was wondering what profiles others users of 3640g were using.
Thanks for your help. Jim
The colors on my SP-300 have a faded or washed out look to them and I was wondering if it could be time to replace the encoder strip.
I have cleaned a few times without it making any difference.
I have also done a powerful cleaning and a medium cleaning without it helping to improve the...

Your comment was the following,
if its a cut vinyl job then just cut it in reverse. Most vinyls are the same colour on the adhisive side, not including reflective and flourescent colours.
I am using a Roland Versacamm and I am...
