  1. Need Help versacamm vs 540i print head leak and capping station not springing back

Did these channels print ok before the tech changed the dampers? Were the o-rings seated properly in the new dampers and did her check for any old o-rings left behind on the manifold? Was all of the air removed from the ink lines agree the dampers were replaced? How were the lines primed after...
  2. AOL problems

    Or multiplied....
  3. Graphtec CE5000-60 thick laminate cutting woes

If this is your main product, then you have the wrong machine and will probably burn it up to the point where you'll have to replace it anyway. If you only do this occasionally, then using multiple passes is going to be your best bet.
  4. Question Onyx 12- ripping files

Also, how much free harddrive space do you have? Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
  5. Need Help Ink charge problem vj 1614

you pretty much have to let it run through the entire cycle.
  6. Need Help versacamm vs 540i print head leak and capping station not springing back

I agree with C5. Airleaks and dampers, then the print head. The only problem I've seen with choke valves was early on when they got stuck closed overnight. A firmware update fixed that.
  7. Main Board

Sounds like a communications issue which usually has to do with the network more often than the main board. Have you tried connecting directly to the printer from the computer with an Ethernet cable?
  8. Main Board

where does it say not connected? - on the control panel? In VersaWorks? what exactly does it say? Are there any error codes/numbers in the message?
  9. Onyx 12 Profile help

Here's how it broke down last year for our Roland ESL4 inks. Just so you understand us, most of our customers have their printers set up as 7 color, but some are CMYKx2. Our primary customer base is the sign industry, but we cross over into a few other markets as well. Black 13% Cyan 7%...
  10. Need Help SP-300 and USB in Windows 10

If it's a usb connection, then its a 300v. 300i is an ethernet connection. Also, Roland didn't update the USB driver for Windows 10, so unless you can get it to run in some sort of compatibility mode (I don't know how to do this and am not sure if it can be done or not), you'll have to...
  11. Onyx 12 Profile help

I think first off, if you don't have a spectrophotometer to create profiles, you're fighting a losing battle. Secondly, I doubt that the driver for this printer will support CMYK +NN channels - I'm not sure on this as I've never tried it before, but I would get the hang of creating profiles...
  12. Printing Problem

Do you get this when printing on Gerber materials? Are you using Gerber foils? I know it sounds like a Gerber distributor looking for a quick buck, but using their foils with their vinyl and the appropriate settings in quickplot will help you determine if this is a machine problem or a media...
  13. Gerber Edge 2 printing issues

Yeah, what vinyl are you printing on?
  14. Avery Failures Return

This proves the point, I think. Avery made a minor change to their 1005 vinyl and gave it a new number - 1105. If they made that drastic of a change to their flagship product, they would be advertising all over the place and give it a new product number.
  15. Ice cream maker needs printing help

Not sure if this applies, but if this is labeling for a food product that is going to be sold or given to the public, are there restrictions as to food safety in regards to the ink? I seem to remember from a long time back that food labeling needs to meet some FDA requirements even for indirect...
  16. Soljet Pro 4 640 woes...

be aware that most warranties - including Roland's - do not cover physical damage to the head. The warranties are basically for defects in materials and workmanship and specifically exclude misuse and abuse. So if there's a scratch on the bottom of the head, you may be on the hook for it.
  17. Soljet Pro 4 640 woes...

+1 for what VanderJ said. Also take a look at the bottom of the print head and see if there is any physical damage to the nozzle plate. Check the condition of your cap top - clean or replace as necessary.
  18. employee freelancing...........

seems like if she signed the contract stating she wouldn't freelance or moonlight or compete against her employer, you have the right to demand she stop or face disciplinary action up to and including termination. The next question you have to answer is this: Is she doing more damage to your...
  19. Layover Wrap

What color of adhesive is on the 3m media? this might be enough to block out the old graphics. If you go with option 2, then use a gray vinyl instead of white - much better opacity to cover the old graphics. I think if the old wrap is stuck tight, you should be able to go over the top...
