  1. Script written body emblems

Meant to say this in my initial reply, but the best option (cost-wise) would probably be to just purchase new emblems (eBay or dealer) with the tape already applied. The labor spent applying tape to a complicated emblem would probably be more than purchasing a new emblem.
  2. Master XY-380P & SignGo

I have basically zero experience with the software or hardware side of things when it comes to cutting vinyl. That being said, I have a Master XY-380P and SignGo. I'm guessing this is probably a very, very basic setup but functional for small projects...? I would like to be able to...
  3. Script written body emblems

The original way is the best way (full back coverage), otherwise you're going to get buildup in any gaps you leave. It's time consuming but it's the right way to do it.
  4. Show your rides?

Beautiful car. Can you expound on where Roush comes into the equation? Custom headers or did you find some that happened to fit?
  5. A lot of work for a low impact sign...oh well...

It's the Teupen LEO 13 GT (link). Again, I'm not much for heights, but it was a pretty smoothly operating piece of equipment. The only thing I didn't love was the front of the bucket has kind of a permanent lean downward and isn't adjustable. Thank you, Craig! The joke is probably obvious...
  6. A lot of work for a low impact sign...oh well...

Just installed these at the Perot Museum here in Dallas. I guess they wanted the subtle look. White wall with white letters. I know I'm in the wrong business for someone that doesn't like heights, but it's done at least. The install was about three stories up due to the open area directly...
  7. Show your rides?

    What's the "Roush"....TVS1900?
  8. Show your rides?

Missed your response, but yes sir, that's him. I wasn't aware that he wrecked though. That's no good. Anyway, he owns True Street Motorsports in McKinney. I think he's running 5.4x's last I saw.
  9. Do you have a dog in your shop?

Mine are always in the "shop"... We had to put down Saber, the 'red' one, last year due to a tumor. She was almost 14 years old. Had her since she was 8 weeks old. Best dog ever.
  10. Gear head alert!

eesh - $7k...that's nice mod money for a regular vehicle - can't imagine sinking it into a model car. Still pretty cool though.
  11. Fast N Loud

I worked at LG Motorsports for a little while - they were on there the other night with the owners ZR1. The car is pushing 900rwhp.
  12. Attn: Members from New York state

It's a pretty time to make the drive with the leaves changing and all. The booths aren't close enough together to slow you down that much. Set aside about $30 in $5's and $1's and you should be fine. It's been a while since I've driven it but if you have the time, make the drive.
  13. pricing custom guest parking signs

I agree 100%. I think your price was fine and doubt they would be able to have the same signs fabricated elsewhere for that price let alone with that kind of service/turn-around time. $20 a piece is an insult.
  14. Need Brass Looking Material

So brass or brass-looking? Steel Art can blast & fill NuGold. Looks like brass but it won't tarnish. It's not .125" though.
  15. That's not a sign... THIS is a sign!

First thought: It looks like a 3' high directional sign and you added the guy in Photoshop to make the directional look huge. lol But very nice job! The sign looks great.
  16. 3M IJ40C installation...

This was all customer supplied, I just helped with the install. And yeah, I know 3M isn't exactly in your Fav 5 right now...
  17. 3M IJ40C installation...

Thank you for the responses guys. You're probably right - I was likely putting uneven pressure on the roll as I was pulling it down. I really think the Big Squeegee would have worked. Oh well, maybe next time. Thanks again, I appreciate the responses.
  18. 3M IJ40C installation...

Got two rooms of this done today, but curious if there are any specific techniques I may not be aware of when installing? I used a 6" squeeze with a felt edge. Wondering if one of the Big Squeegee's would have helped. It's pretty forgiving stuff, but tends to wrinkle up easily - I think from...
  19. Interior Hanging Signs First Timer

Given what you said in your first post (wanting it to appear as if it's floating), your options are very limited. "Floating" eliminates the ability to use any rigid mounting structure, unless you use a clear acrylic rod. So if it were me, I would explain that the "floating" look is really...
  20. That's not molding... THIS is molding...

You're getting your finger installed...?
