Off the top of my head....I might consider Rastek...EFI has made some improvements with it, but IM not sure of cost and power usage to be honest. Downside is the ink used by them has been iffy. Fuji has some flatbeds out there as well...inks are good and print quality has been nice. As for...
Concrete vinyl
There are a couple vendors that sell stuff for that. Arlon has DPF 8000....no special tools required. 3M has 2. Weve printed on both...one for textured walls needs high heat....roller application...etc. I have some of that kicking around. The other material is a non-IJ...
Rastek and no OEM
I suggest going with Fuji Sericol for the rastek printer. Had a client in Albany who has one and had issues with the ink gelling constantly. Sericol has great support and they do have a solution for you with the inks. My sales guy would definitely have the right info for...
I work with a majority of the retail sign shops in my locality....and Ive come to a really nice conclusion...that we can all make a buck without lowballing one another here. Ive had John Q Public walk in...and Ive referred them to the person who I though would be best to get the job done right...
I like what you have to say here...and I have been following the same mantra all my time now running my own biz. As a wholesaler, I run into this often. Even I have had to outsource some jobs now and again...due to volume or size....and the quality was a huge issue. Sometimes I wish I hadnt...
Will no longer deal with. People didnt know products for digital and damn near had a brawl with a branch manager at AC show 3 years ago! N Glantz has been perfect!
We've had really great luck both printing, laminating and cutting the 3m IJ 35 C. We know its a bit shorter span that the 3651...but clients seem to get the warm and fuzzy feeling knowing its 3M. Prints really well on my Vuteks and Roland. Clients love to install it....its less expensive than...
Arlon DPF 8000
I think Arlon DPF 8000...if my memory is correct would be a great solution as well for the wall. Ive heard great things about it and we use a fair amount of DPF 6000 XRP for truck sides and other printing jobs. For the money...almost cant beat it.
Try using a small fan or heater
Try using a small fan or ceramic heater in front of the prints.
We have had the same issue with a similar material and gave up solvent printing them on the 540.....switched them to UV on the flatbed. Instant dry.
Well...we re-upped as a merchant member and we're back on signs 101! :thankyou: Want to thank our current clients and those yet to come for trusting our abilities here at WYLDGFI to do the quality work that everyone expects of us. Check us out in the merchant section once its approved. Look...
All I have to say is Vutek's support is Top Notch. I own 3 of them....you become your own mechanic when it comes down to it. BUT the people you have on the phone to walk you through steps and the support behind you is second to NONE. IVe got a PV 200...and I love it. Difference with the...
none of the above are issues actually...there are NO wireframe boxes and the wierdest situation was a Photoshop Rasterized .eps file that did this! NOT Illustrator (though illustrator eps files do that as well....)
it was a Photoshop EPS actually....but also getting it with Illustrator files. It looks like there is a white border in the document when there really isnt any
Anyone else having issues with Versaworks and it NOT printing an EPS file to the specified sizes or adding a blank Border to your documents when you dont want one???
Any fixes? Rasterized to a jpg & Tiff format to test and the file went thru at perfect size.
I believe so...that should hopefully knock out any clogs. also may want to try to gently wipe the heads with the solvent and the swabs. dont press too hard or you'll screw up the jets.
