We dont get a lot of banding on our PV 200. We're typically running our heads .060 or .055 to the media. I think that helps us out with the banding issue because the angle the ink lands and sticks makes a big difference. May want to try lowering your carriage some and adjusting the Bi-dir...
Was having some banding issues....talked to Sign Supply USA today and they suggested downloading and installing the latest firmware on my printer. Low and behold....IT WORKED! Much better printing with it...wow. I was surprised! Just wanted to let fellow Roland Owners out there know.
Ive gotten the brand that Fathead uses...it SUCKS. General Formulations is the better brand, but it still curls some. Looking into that plastiprint now...I always had good results with the static clings from them.
Is there a way to Adjust the Max INK levels in the stock or downloaded profiles without re-profiling the materials on your own??? Ive messed with heat settings and still get a 'wet-banding' where the passes meet. Im definitely overloading on Ink. This is an across-the-board media issue right...
Austin...im really giving some thought to the Durafos inks. Talked to the reps today...but have a local rep for Bordeaux as well. Quite intersting conversations and very informative.
Im still considering the Bordeax deal. A supplier I trust is selling it...so Im probably going to give it a shot. I will check with the place that sold the Roland printer I bought it off of as well to see what they have to say.

Was wondering....I have Colorburst Rip that offers the FJ-540 as an option. Would that drive the XC 540 well?? It gives me 360x720 up to 1440x1440 res. along with print and cut options. Any thoughts??
