Try slowing down printing. Paper needs a lot of ink, maybe your pump cannot keep up with the speed. You're printing to a coated surface not actual paper so you should definitely use the heater.

Use unidirectional printing and higher heat settings + low head speed and increase nr of passes. Brown is a very delicate color for any printer.

So my prints are fine on thick material but cannot print bidirectional on oracal 3164 or similar 70micron media as it gets wavy on the printing platform and bidirectional printing looks awful in those places. I know it must be a heating problem because I printed 3164 just fine a few months...

If you need to change the ink setup you'll need cleaning cartridges for the 4 channels, as far as i know there is no CMYKWWWW option, only CMYK+Lc+Lm+W you may leave the 8th channel unused or use metallic inks if my memory serves well, anyway you can look up on their site which configuration is...

try a thicker line or "fill around marks", if that doesn't work try adding marks from rasterlink

Why not try Oracal 3164 +Oraguard 200 combo? 100% scratch resistance + 3 options for glossy, semi glossy and matte finish. I bet it'd hold up really well in bathrooms too.

if it looks double printed use UNIDIR printing if you need a quick print, or check bidirectional settings very carefully for large jobs. For clear or frosted vinyl I always use 2x overprint, on frosted it looks exceptionally nice.

Select 'use primary colors only' in versaworks and set up your file in vector format using K only for grays. This'll make u true grays guaranteed, not sure how nice the resolution will be though. There's nothing much to investigate, just check the "Crop Marks" checkbox in versaworks. it's in the 'MARK' panel. The printer will do the rest. In the CUT CONTROLS panel you can select "Print and Cut", "Print Only", "Cut Only" If you hit print only - i guess this is why your machine didn't cut...

Always use registration marks. 3 meters is too long anyway for precise cutting. Try not to cut more than 1sqm at once even if you have more waste.
