Any competent machine shop in your area can knock out the blanks. Will need to find a metal polishing shop after machining. If a dedicated metal polisher isn't available look for shops that detail big rigs.
I'm under the 26,001 weight limit, but over 10,001 with my racing operation. I'm required to have a DOT number and abide by HOS guidelines. Also required to pass a DOT physical every two years, carry a FedMed card, have current inspections on truck and trailer, and keep log books. Up to date...
Thanks to P Wagner and Colorcrest for responding.
ColorCrest: I will try to find the white paper you suggested.
P Wagner: If there is an Ink Limit protocol using the scanner in the i1 software I haven't found it.
I dug into Flexi and found the Ink Limit test. It is visual and relies on my...
Back again with more profiling questions. Trying to use X-Rite independently to generate an ICC profile.
Even though I'm using Flexi to drive the printer I can't use the Wizard for what I'm doing.
I'm trying to figure out a process that can generate a profile independent of any known RIP.

Head looks fine. Very little deflection and very few missing nozzles.
In the interim try a unidirectional print and see what happens. If it looks better it points towards something in the ink train being off.
I agree with Joe on replacing cap tops, dampers, and wiper as a starting point.
Years ago I purchased a CD of MR Chisel Fonts. Might still be available.
Other than that go to Auroragraphics.net. They have all kinds of graphics you can use. I've used their artwork and it's nice.
This would be a stretch but try and locate the Juice Drop collection from Digital Juice...
Key phrase in the OP's post: "..client has a general idea". Translated: Time wasting zero profit most irritating thing I've done in months.
I worked on a job last year where the client knew what they wanted until they saw the comp. 21 revisions later the job was finished. Got paid for every...
Not disturbed at all. Gave up watching media with an agenda. I choose to focus on friends, neighbors and clients in my little corner of the world. Friends and neighbors will help when asked and my clients put food on the table and a roof over my head. In the end that's all ya need.;)
I can't see that situation turning out well with vinyl. If he's washing with harsh chemicals tell him to have it painted. Otherwise it will end up being a never ending spiral of fixing failed material.
There is a local business built around renting out their herd of goats. They are brought in to decimate invasive and unwanted weeds. Cemetery not far from me hired them in to clear out all the poison ivy. To goats it's a delicacy. If it's anywhere on the property they will eat it first.
New computer is a 2019 iMac. 3GHz six core i5, Radeon Pro 570x 4GB graphics and 1T Fusion drive. Presently at 8G RAM which will be upgrade to 32 or 64. Haven't decided which is best bang for the buck. Quirk with the 2019's I found interesting. 128g of RAM can be installed and used even...
You mean a shop isn't supposed to look like a tornado just went through? Hmm...have to rethink my strategy for 2020.
Truth is if you want to get serious plan on doing Six Sigma. What is boils down to is having work cells. Within those work cells are the tools to perform that...
Not looking at anything. Also there isn't much going on for the holidays, which is fantastic. All new equipment in the shop, new computers, software etc... Work on the books for 2020. I'm good.
