Can try printing on silver metallic. Solvent inks are similar to candy paint for vehicles. Looks really good. There is a post or two somewhere on the forum.
Otherwise it's going to be offset or screen printed.
Going to wait and see what shakes out. I don't pay much attention to what Frank or anyone else does. I focus on my clients and doing the best possible job for them.
Yup. Decades ago a sign painter was trying to teach me. He would do the first strokes while I watched then copy what he did. Never got to finish "school" as he passed away. Never touched a brush since then.

I tell them if I remember to. My clients don't care where the signs or whatever come from, who makes them, etc... They want the quality and service I've built my reputation on.
There are only a few subs I trust with my business. They are not cheap or fast but at least I can sleep.
I'm geting used to Flexi again, but I remember seeing a margin adjustment somewhere. Mine is set 5mm from the edge.

Some advice from and older and wiser person.
The time you waste looking for "the deal" could have been put to productive use making money. Which in turn pays for a part you will get and has tech support.
It really isn't too complicated as the software and devices do all the heavy lifting. Problem comes when the instructions ask for a subjective assessment of the test print. that can oly lead to trouble as we all see color differently.
I profiled the Indigo in our lab after seeing it done once...
Calibration/Linearization are the initial steps in profiling. Followed Mark Rugens highly detailed profiling procedure to a "T". Result was horrible.
I know there is something I'm missing. Just have to figure out what's missing.
I do know I don't like the subjective aspect of SAI's...
If it only has to look like aluminum CNC some MDF and paint it or wrap with 3M 1080 brushed metal. Last resort which won't be cheap is have it CNC'ed from flat aluminum stock.

If you can try running the Orajet 3640 profile. There should be one available. If that clears up the banding then dig into Rasterlink and see if you can adjust the droplet size. I had an issue on a certain file with my Mutoh and running the 3640 profile eliminated the tiny bit of banding I...
All the information you need regarding materials is in the website you linked. As far as production there are several ways to go. Screen printing would be the go to for high quantity with designs that never change.
