+1 big sign, lots of weight / wind load for a projecting sign
  2. Embossed Tailgates

I think the OP was asking how to wrap the tailgate that already has the embossing there, not how to add it. we have not had one yet, but I imagine we will treat as any other wrap with channels, try to ensure the design work with the area and not worry to much about it

knowing the amount of time / effort needed to properly prep a surface for paint and with this being a "short term". IMO a banner would be easier / faster and cheaper in the end. but hey what do we know were just sign people
  7. Help/Advice for material printed and installed on drywall baricade

assuming this will be like most all construction barricade walls in that it will be removed and trashed once the work is done. for a short term like this, any vinyl with air release channels will be good. we have used instant one media before it did exactly as intended. you can also try...

  16. What's minimum and max Resolution setting with 1:1 scale

too vague of a question. are you talking about the file resolution or the printer resolution? also what is the end result? a banner for a "GRAND OPENING" is going to need less resolution than a fine art reproduction.
  17. Its amazing what people do for an install! Who would have the guts to do this?

correct, the fork lift has the machine lifted. one would think that a building like this with a minimum of 2 fork lifts would have a big enough door to get the printer through. Either way, when it comes down to it the end justify the means.

  20. 12' x 8' 1/2" D/S MDO Signs. Anybody out there familiar with this fabrication?

so what are you asking? assuming you are referring to the large sign in the image since there are multiple signs. a 12' x 8' sign is easy, MDO boards come in 4' x 8' sizes, so you need 3 sheets and then you will panel them on the pole into one large sign
