Huge issue....I am having a problem with Flexi opening files that another computer saved, and the file has any type of bitmap...TIF, JPG, etc. When I open the file the image is a random series of vertical multicolor lines. The computer I am opening on is the RIP, so I can't print anything...

Didn't see if anyone mentioned, but the number of passes can make prints grainy....generally anything 8 pass or over looks fantastic on Latex. Heck some 6 pass stuff looks just fine.

We had a customer try to pull that one, telling us he needed his real estate sign redone because the name was spelled wrong. This was months after...and the kicker was he wanted to "go ahead and change to a different name since he needed it redone." Nice try cheap a$$.

You can use 8518 on anything, as long it's cast. I use it for any outdoor translucent prints, on 180 Vinyl, Oracal cast, Arlon cast...doesn't matter. Only time it matters is with a warranty issue with 3M.

If you have Flexi, this feature is built in. File>Job Statistics.

I like those, but they're pricey. But I just don't like the whole idea of poles to wrestle with while grabbing a roll of vinyl, holding the roll, sliding it off the pole......it's much easier to me with the vertical racks we have....but you don't want that so.... No extra stuff...grab the roll...

Yep, restaurants, doctors offices, hospitals, all seem to use the ez clean/mark free paints that nothing will stick to. I've had ongoing issues with wall wraps sticking to walls of a vet chain we do work for, and we have finally had them NOT paint the walls we will be wrapping in all future...

Surprised you don't use the Hold in List feature... I set up all my jobs in the queue, in hold, grouped per material, so I load material, send as needed. Can't see how ones functions without utilizing Hold in List.

I just started using it solely as a cut vinyl for some fleet graphics.....they're blue cars, trucks and vans with all white graphics. So far seems to work great for that. Cuts and weeds great and having air release is a must for lots of installs.

I get a similar problem with people and their double sided real estate signs with arrows on them. They come in, look at the sign...." The arrow is pointing left....I wanted it right". Me: "turn the sign around, it's now pointing right." Them: "ok, but the other side is pointing left still." Me...

3M 1080 is a little cheaper most places. But I'm curious what you are printing on a dark color like this...no one really prints on this stuff, but I suppose you could.
