Unless I am missing something I found a huge issue with ColorGate with the inability to set margins at least with the L360. I need to set up 100 decals to contour cut. they should be 8 across so I have enough room for the pinch rollers on the cutter. I can't find anyway to force or set it to 8...
Actually I forgot that one, but after I asked you I remembered. You do that in the Color Table. Input is 100%K and Output Printer (icon) is set for 100%K. All other percentage of blacks will then print as CMYK utilizing the lc and lm inks.
So many RIPs, so many years.
You are correct, Printmode and obviously the Media has to be the same. But just a different Profile has no effect on continues printing. Two jobs with same Printmode but a different Profile tailgated each other just fine, but that is a function of the RIP and not the printer, at least with...
Can't quite remember in Flexi when you tell it to repeat X times if it creates one job file or it send multiple copies. So many RIP's so much time that I can't remember all the features.
Well the Firmware update says for 310/330/360/370, so hardware wise I don't see that being the case.
Are you trying to do multiple copies of the same job or different jobs, or have you tried both ways?
I have averaged about 4,000ml per head. Just print a nozzle check every so often and if you're getting clogged nozzles even after cleanings then you might want to consider replacing heads depending on how critical color and quality is. Keep a closer attention on the lc/lm head as the 360 only...
Had a chance to try Colorgate 10. Looks like they have changed the profiler engine because the profiles seem much better, in fact really good. Also my be my black settings as the profile generator uses different values than what I have been used to with other packages.
Two question.
When...
Had a little extra time today.
It looks like it definitely has to implemeted with a command from the RIP.
Tried two jobs right after another with the Fiery XF RIP and and nothing, still goes through the whole cycle before starting the next job.
Tried it with Colorgate 10 with the Use...
Roll to roll over-laminating this morning, 1 man no help. 54" wide x 30', bottom roll of vinyl loading the same way about 3" of waste. How would you load it?
Every time I load the laminator like this I always wonder if any one makes a tape with a tab on for easy removal. Something that might come with a dispenser. Easy enough to make them when loading but it does take-up some time. I have done searches but not quite sure what you would call it and...
I noticed this in the documentation for the firmware.
NOTE: In order to take advantage of all those new fixes/functionalities HP recommends to upgrade the software RIP printer driver to the latest available version.
I guess we will have to test this. Anyone call tech.
I noticed that Colorgate 10 has a setting called Use Continuous Printing. Maybe it needs to get directions from the RIP?
On the 500 series it will be interesting to see how at higher ink and lower passes they are utilizing the two OP heads and the one lc/lm head. Seems they will have to either not allow lc/lm or change the lc/lm curves to not use as much ink from what is in the 300 series.
I have used ColorGate a number of times over the years and I really like the RIP. The thing that has always frustrated me is the linearization or should say re-linearization, and profile creation. I have never really been able to get a satisfying profile from ColorGate. They always seem to have...
