Forgot to follow up...installed 631 wet and it worked wonderfully! No masking just applied right off the paper. Used red 631 inside the windows (overlapped) and white 651 outside. Smooth install took about 2 hours total from time of arrival to leaving.
The red will be removed after construction...
Roland printers/cutters have a special swatch they can use to "die cut" the stickers that cuts the actual paper after the stickers have been cut....although it KILLS the cut strip....
Thanks G-Artist for the info -- never thought of checking into that. LUCKILY for this particular application it's a temporary application while construction is being done (store not opened yet) and the storefront has no signage whatsoever yet so they want to cover the windows in red and do white...
Has anyone gotten SignCut X2 to work properly with Snow Leopard yet???
I don't want to go through the troubles of upgrading then having to downgrade AGAIN if no one has still done it
I know how to install vinyl wet, I'm just curious if we can do 631 wet....i KNOW you have big troubles installing 3164 printed wet but houseofgrafix says 631 can be done wet, so wet it is :) Thanks guys :)
Before anyone points it out -- YES Oracal 631 is temporary vinyl but we are doing a bunch of windows that are 48"x75" with 100% coverage using red oracal 631 and are trying to do it as fast as possible.
With that said, Can oracal 631 be installed WET using action tac?? A quick squirt squirt...
The problem I've got right now is that I only need about 50 stickers made...as it is, dometag wants $75 setup which doesn't make sense to my customer for only 50 stickers to start :(
I am looking for someone to do a short run of domed stickers for me...probably 25-50 of them, printed then domed with resin/epoxy...Who on these forums does this??
Matt
Does this require the spray like it used to or does it install just like normal wrap vinyl? And where can we find this by the yard?
Also - what makes you think Di-Noc is better than the oracal film? It just came out, have you seen it or are you just saying that?
Rtape chrome is "OK" but even the samples we printed on an roland that didn't immediately curl after cutting eventually curled over a week or so...
Thermal ribben on chrome 3m was the way to go for us -- we were able to print to the very edge and the adhesive was much stronger.
Does anyone know where we can buy the new Oracal 975 Carbon Fiber Film? I have a sample of it and it looks absolutely AWESOME!!! Very wrappable but I can't find anywhere willing to sell it by the yard (or at ALL for that matter).
We have a ton of customers wanting wrapped ROOFS on their cars...
