  1. Need a new Computer

We can build anything you need. We can build with XP, but I bet that is not your best solution. Give me a buzz! I am very good with software compatibility, especially sign and graphic design software. That is what we do!
  2. A thought on these pop up virus attacks

Absolutely. ANY web site/server can be infected. Some are much safer than others. In general, the less mainstream the website, the more likely it is to be compromised. This is not always a true, but it is a good thing to remember.
  3. A thought on these pop up virus attacks

I think that you are on the wrong track. First, you probably have multi-day leases on your IP addresses. If you router is down for several hours, you will still get the same IP when you return. This has almost nothing to do with being infected. You are probably not getting these malware...

  5. computer acting up !!!!!

That is a great place to start. There are a few hardware/driver issues that could cause similar issues as well, but since it is running fine for a few hours after startup, those are less likely, but still possible.

If you know how to forward ports on your router, you can use the built in "remote desktop" and it is free. Otherwise, most of the major "remote" software are pretty good too. You can use any applications that are on the remote PC, regardless of what you have at home. The speeds will be at...

  11. Upgrading RAM

It is kind of complicated, but I will do my best to describe it: It is not only your video card, but any hardware component with addressable RAM or any device that can reserve addressable space. The video card is the main culprit in most cases as it can have quite a bit of on-board RAM. A 32...
  12. Intellectual Property and Copyright Theft In Our Industry.

In my opinion, this goes right along with using a cracked copy of Photoshop or any other software use that is in violation of the EULA. How many shops do you think use software illegally just because they "can", not because they should. You would be surprised how many shops admit to me that...
  13. This should be illegal

We happen to be one of the niche PC makers who uses high-quality components and attention to detail. I would put our computers up against any Mac Pro out there without a second thought. As far as security software. Yes, it is necessary in todays world on a PC. That being said, with a decent...
  14. This should be illegal

I just build my 7 year old daughter a Linux Ubuntu system. Don't get me wrong, I am a "PC LOVER". I live, eat, and breath Windows, but for her needs, Linux made a lot of sense. First, it is cheap (free download). Second, I can use older hardware without worrying about being slow (4 year...

  18. Core i5 vs Core i7 vs core 2 duo

Ditto. The CPU question is a complicated one. It really depends on what kind of performance that you want out of your system. All three will get the job done, but the i5 and i7 systems will get it done FASTER. Intel made a big jump in performance with the i5 and i7 CPUs.
