  1. Need Help Anyone knows a really good adhesive

How small? If it's small thin letters at eye level, we use "Transfer tape". https://www.3mcanada.ca/3M/en_CA/company-ca/all-3m-products/~/3M-Adhesive-Transfer-Tape-9472/?N=5002385+3293241831+3293794637&rt=rud It's paper thin so if its going on a wall at eye level.. itll look a lot nicer than...
  2. What vinyl are you printing your stickers onto, and why?

I find its not the vinyl but the backing paper that's most critical for stickers. Stickers are usually under a few inches... The cheapest thinnest stuff should be easy for customers to apply even. However when perf cutting.... The thin paper tends to curl or rip and not leave a clean edge...
  3. Discussion Forget Tariffs, what about a Pandemic?

More cases pop up each day. The thing that makes this disease deadly is the Infection time. Everyone is going to get hit. It's impossible not to - it takes up to two weeks while your contagious before symptoms show. So that new case that just appeared in Washington today? They've had two weeks...
  4. Baffling application tape problem

Only thoughts would be your supplier and ask. Its hard to say without seeing it. We use grimco brand for everything - 180/8518 works with it.... But there is a more pricier application tape that sticks better to air egress vinyls. Application tape does not like to Stick to air egress...
  5. Wrapping ATMs - adhesive issues?

Use 180-lse. It's low surface energy - still bubble free and conformable but it's glue is meant to stick to powder coated and other low energy surfaces. We wrapped a bunch of plastic barricades / pylons with it and no issues. Regular 180 wouldn't stay on it...
  6. Printable Holographic Adhesive Vinyls?

I thought the only holo vinyl you sell is rtape? I don't believe the rtape is latex compatible... At least it's not listed as such.
  7. Frank Fellers, the Owner of Fellers Has started his own wrap shop doing wraps for $1,000

This is a little different. How do you think McDonald's would feel if their supplier opened a McDon's and sold food for half the price of them? I don't care if a business opens up across the street. Infact a sign business opened up literally right by our business... Not a problem. A bit of...
  8. Printable Holographic Adhesive Vinyls?

It is. But they don't make a latex printable holographic. Most are UV only , a few may be solvent compatible.... But your choices are pretty much UV, screenprinting or printing on clear. It'd be nice if there was a latex compatible.... Closest you can get is gansdigitals holographic window perf.
  9. Printable Holographic Adhesive Vinyls?

Print on clear... Apply.it to the holographic material. Pretty much the only way with a latex, and has been discussed a few times in the past month.
  10. Frank Fellers, the Owner of Fellers Has started his own wrap shop doing wraps for $1,000

To the people that said you don't have a problem or see what's wrong with this - How would you feel if one of the wholesale only production shops opened up to anyone? Or setup a subsidiary business that only sold to end users, using their buying power of their main business to be able to...
  11. Roll laminators vs flatbed

I can guarantee our rolls roller operator can mount 10x faster (Not even joker) On our table, than you could on a laminator, and be more accurate. Nothing beats a flatbed applicator for mounting signs - Now if youre doing 4-5 signs a day, it doesnt matter. If you're doing hundreds a day... then...
  12. Need Help Colordao 1650 - Who has one and does wraps?

How's the alignment? I do find occasionally on our latex printing a 10 ft piece... It'll come out 9 ft 11 inches, etc.... The. The second panel will be 11.5". It's never the exact size. Not really an issue since we can align all the important stuff at eye level and make the top go a bit out of...
  13. GRAPHTEC opinions

I've never tried that option. I usually set the graphtec up once... Max roller width, then even if I'm loading 30" or 48" material the plotter thinks it's 54... Easier to read marks right on the edge that way. Then when you cross cut it'll cut in the mid of 54.... Which causes it to jam when...
  14. GRAPHTEC opinions

Yup... I cant wait to get it! We constantly do rolls of decals that get cut 1" x 3".... Talking hundreds of thousands. The auto scan + Auto cut/take up is going to be awesome - Theoretically you can put the roll in... hit 1 button and it'll cut everything for you and roll it all up nice and...
  15. Suggestions SummaCut D140R or Graphtec FC9000? Perf Cut Adhesive Vinyl

The summa doesnt recommend doing perf cuts on anything except for squares. That being said, I'm not sure how well/poorly it does - one thing to consider is the summa does its perf cuts over the cutting strip...so if all your doing is perf cuts, you're going to mess up your strip faster than...
  16. HP Flexi Basic Software VS ?

Its a perpetual license, yes - However its ONLY for the hp latex printer. It wont work with non HP latex printers, if you want it to run on other printers then you have to upgrade... And there is a charge to upgrade, not sure why they said there isnt. It should work with pretty much all the...
  17. GRAPHTEC opinions

The Fc9000 is supposed to be way better at reflective. We just ordered one in - I havent been able to use it (Arrives in march...) But some of the features seem nice. The whole reverse marks seems like a good idea - Not sure if summa has it... but I imagine this makes any material easy to...
  18. Question Is my 360 a lemon, and should I buy another HP?

Most printers last around 5 years "Expected" life. Then there are the rare ones that do last longer - rolands / mimakis seem to be pretty decent lengthwise. The HP's are more plasticky, but honestly... if you haven't paid off/got enough use out of your printer in 5 years, you're not using it...
  19. Major issue when comparing Cloud vs subscription file opening time

Your video is set to private so no one can watch it. 26 minutes seems way too long... But then again so does 5. Have you tried installing the cloud version on one of your other desktops that are running a perpetual license and seeing what the difference is on the same machine?
  20. 1000 masking layers

I get this a lot when importing pdf files -I dont know why pdf likes to mess up and add a ton of clipping paths it doesn't need. I use a script from powerscript - I believe it's $15.... It's paid for itself a dozen times. https://o2creative.co.nz/shop/FixIt_PowerScript_for_Adobe_Illustrator...
