  1. HP Flexi Basic Software VS ?

The HP Latex 315 Printer includes HP FlexiPrint and Cut RIP in the box. (PC compatible) The 315 bundle includes cutting with flexi. If you were to buy the 110... and then buy the summa seperately, you would not have print and cut. You could upgrade the software that comes with the non...
  2. Discussion Copyright and tattoos

Thats kind of the catch 22. If you dont enforce your copyright... someone can use that against you. I could sell baby yodas in walmart, and if they bring me to court... I could say they didnt enforce the 1000 etsy users who are selling it, so they must not have a problem with it - If you dont...
  3. Discussion Copyright and tattoos

It's the same reason if you search Etsy or.ebay for Disney stickers, you'll find hundreds if not thousands that are obviously rip offs. Even a Company as big as Disney doesn't have the resources to go after everyone. They pick and choose - Disney doesn't have a tattoo booth, so they don't lose...
  4. What is this? "Dyanamic Sticker"

It's a video. Shows a white screen turning into a Pepsi logo... From China. Its not a vinyl... The screen is backlit, you.can tel by how.brifjt the white is compared to the people walking by it, to me it looks like a monitor displaying a white screen that fades into an image of a Pepsi can...
  5. Suggestions Die-cutting low volume magnets

Nothing wrong with .030, we go through a few hundred ft per month. We usually sub out the diecutting. We have successfully cut it on our CNC with a dragknife, and routed it out surprisingly when it was a print and cut. If it's just a simple shape we throw it into our graphtec.... Cut enough...
  6. Suggestions Die-cutting low volume magnets

Probably because all the sales reps market .030 as vehicle grade and anything less as not. I don't agree with it...but some people refuse to go lower because of it. We mainly use .030 because most of our suppliers only stock it locally... .020 is a few days transfer from another branch. And...
  7. Suggestions Die-cutting low volume magnets

If you guys have a vinyl plotter... Load it in upside down so the magnets sticking up, put it in 2-3 pass and cut away. Then just print your design on vinyl and apply it. I wouldn't do that to hundreds... But if you just need 5 circles it's easy enough.
  8. UV Lamp Filters for Scitex FB750

I just be careful when removing them and blow them out with an air hose and re use. It's dumb that you need to buy a whole.kit for a 10 cent filter. You could buy your own filter - it won't be the same perfect shape unless you cut it - below is an example... I'd measure the thickness and buy...
  9. 3M Di-Noc *alternative* for wood grain and brushed metallic vinyls

Vivid makes some good stuff. https://vvividshop.com/collections/architectural-films/products/aluminum-brushed-steel 3M dinoc is way ahead of all the other vinyls though - they're one of the only ones that make products that last outdoor with such a long warranty. If you're looking for long...
  10. Sponsorship Banners

We do these all the time. Banners, golf tournament signs... etc. Probably hundreds a year - You can try to find better quality logos - They are out there... But you could be spending hours and hours getting better quality on some banners / promotional items that will be up for a day and then...
  11. what degree blade is preferred 1-4 mil vinyl?

The 30 for reflective isn't your typical reflective. They're talking about road reflective.... Such as diamond EGP/HI/DG - the ones with a hard shell and prismatic beads. While you can use a 45 with it... It'll likely snap the blade, or dull it really fast. For those you need a k30 blade that's...
  12. Discussion Forget Tariffs, what about a Pandemic?

What vinyl do you use from China? By the time vinyl gets to you from China, the virus would be dead on it. It needs a host to stay Alive for longer than a few mins. The scary part about the virus is it spreads for 1-2 weeks before you show symptoms. There was one case reported in my city...
  13. Transfer tape for etched glass ?

If it's just a square... No transfer tape needed. Yes it's a wet install - it'll be less..sticky to start out of course... But once it full dries (generally 24 hours minimum) it should adhere just as good as without a wet apply... Providing your making your solution properly. Use less baby...
  14. The dreaded double cut issue

Is there a transparent image in the file? Such as a PNG? Transparencies cause double cuts... Rips don't like transparencies and It does weird things to them.
  15. Looking to buy a printer, HP 335 print & cut system has really caught my eye

The 335 only needs 1 20 AMP breaker - It uses 16A, and 3A... so a single 20 is fine. The bigger systems like a 365 require their own seperate lines. One thing no one is mentioning... you know you need a laminator, right? So while the 20k may be in your budget, tack a laminator onto that and...
  16. Discussion Copyright Issues

Copyright is a civil matter, not a criminal matter. DHS Wouldn't touch anything to do with copyright - Customs and border will seize goods coming into the country that aren't legit... but they wouldn't crack down on it when it's local. Generally it is the FBI that conducts raids - And even...
  17. Installation Tip for a trailer

1 - I'd vinyl instead of Paint it... I can't fault op for that. I vinyl for a living, not paint.... I know I can do a good job with vinyl, where as with paint it'd probably look like crap coming from me. Paint has its benefits.... But so does vinyl. If the customer I happy with the price, I...
  18. Need Help Graphtec Non-OEM Blade Holders

They work. We use them - if your cutting fine stuff... You may notice some Knicks though. The blades have more play in them, so they don't cut perfectly. If. Your cutting stuff bigger than half an inch its not noticeable... If your cutting small store graphics, stick with the regular blade...
  19. Router bit longevity???

I thought slowing your bit down too much can actually kill its lifespan? Theres a certain sweet spot - Too slow and its not moving enough to cooldown... too fast and the friction will cause it to over heat. Every manufacturer has a RPM/feed rate setting for that bit... I don't do too much...
  20. Tariffs

:) The wiki I sent is an impartial account of all the times USA put a tariff on our lumber, and how it ended up getting settled - Mostly via WTO / fines. I believe on a few occasions they just agreed to drop the tariff, and everyone went on their merry way. I use the term illegal as in they're...
