  1. Presidential debate...let's hear your thoughts

I totally agree, worst election of my lifetime. Until we get lobbyists out of government, large corporations will continue to ruin us and we will get asshats like these two to choose from.
  2. Epson s80600 software

For a heavy print/cut workflow I would find it hard to believe that Onyx in any flavor is going to hang with Flexi CC, if it does they have made some drastic improvements to Onyx in the last couple years. Epson SureColors are great machines, we have 3 with a 4th arriving in 2 weeks. At which...
  3. Oh Boy....

Microsoft only did it "so that the user can make more informed decisions when performing searches." Yah because Google is so ineffective at searching for stuff.....not.
  4. Changing Computers

You need to deactivate your license on the old computer. Start flexi on the old machine and then I believe its under the 'Help' menu. If not- look in the settings menu.
  5. Laying a sign and Laminating prints

I would 'unload' the laminator before laying by hand, most especially if the print is un-laminated. It takes maybe a minute to re-web the lam and probably at least 5 minutes to lay the sucker by hand. If I had to lay it by hand I would lay substrate on table, position the print perfectly...
  6. How much would you charge for this job

I always thought Windex was highly NOT recommended for surface prep....leaves a waxy residue or some such thing?
  7. Flexi doesn't contour cut inside of letters

The stroke is most likely causing your issue. Try making a solid black version that you will use only to create the contour. Once your contour cut is good with the holes 'separate contour cut' delete the black and then import your file with the proper colors. Good Luck
  8. VENT - Things that annoy you in the print industry.

Have one you would recommend? It would make my life much easier if I could cut my own mask as well. I've always been under the impression that they were pretty pricey.
  9. Something Funny....................................

Took some google digging but I think this is the answer. As indicated by the A portion in FIG. 14, a horizontal line and a vertical line which pass the G filter 23G of the first B array 28a at, for example, the upper left corner in the figure are referred to as a "horizontal line...
  10. VENT - Things that annoy you in the print industry.

Same here, Oracal please fire whoever is cutting your 54" rolls of 210, the gloss is almost always over 54", it adds 15-20 minutes lamming a full roll when I have to trim the overhang off. If I don't trim it, I have listen to a very annoying squeaking sound while the roll plots and sometimes...
  11. Dry Erase Boards

You have a myriad of options, foam board, gator board, chip board, aluminum .....what are they going to be used for? If they are just going to color in a thermometer or something than I would just go with foam board. It's a throw away item after the fundraiser is over.
  12. HP 360 Banner Haze in Shop

Island Clean Air makes quality scrubbers, we have a 11 year old Duster 2000 and with 3 solvent printers running daily and you smell nothing unless you stick your nose up to the print. The footprint on it is about 4 sq. feet.
  13. File not "cut ready"

It is. Also, if your using Flexi...Bezier,enchanced corners, and enhanced curves can make you a very clean vector, depends heavily on the image your using. We often make a "negative" in Photoshop and then bring it into Flexi and Bezier it for a perfect plot file.
  14. Lubricate wide printer bed

Sewing machine oil is sufficient for most printers.
  15. Why am I getting this red shadow

I had something similar happen on one of our Epsons a few months back, not nearly as bad as yours but it ended up being a dirty encoder strip. Went away instantly after cleaning it.
  16. What should I look for before buying a used printer?

If your working for a company that specializes in wraps perhaps you could make an arrangement to get low cost prints done. As others have said, this guy should be paying you to haul that printer away. If you order those $250 print heads from China you will either never see them or they will be...
  17. help with a certain kind of lamination

Are you talking about a liquid laminator? https://youtu.be/0vwgeK3PEc4?t=20
  18. Double KUDOS to casey at signburst computers

We have an Inferno going on 3 years old, its been on pretty much 24/7 in that time without so much as a hiccup that wasn't software induced. Very solid builds.
  19. Signs365 Laminate failure

The UV index is typically 3 times higher or more in the Deep South compared to the Upper Midwest/Canada. http://sunburnmap.com/
  20. graphtec fc7000 registration mark error

Or when the crops are to close to the outer pinch rollers, another thing that has worked dozens of time for me is simply reloading the media after moving it in either direction 2 or 3 inches and readjusting pinch rollers so they are as far from the crops as possible.
