I'm assuming you ruled out double cuts, as in whoever set up the cut file didn't put 2 contours on the same text. And when you say it increases the knife pressure, does it actually increase the number that shows on the screen while cutting?

Could it be static? I've also noticed that gloss laminate is much more "grabby" of other pvc type products compared to matte lam.

shot in the dark but maybe you have "contour only" selected in the drop down box on whatever tab that is. Remove and reinstall the printer is another potential fix.

We got an ST140 with OPOS-CAM about a month ago, and all I can say is WOW....sooo much faster than our ST160 with regular OPOS. For some reason Summa undersells this feature, it's much faster than they tell you it is. If you have a heavy production load it is easily worth every extra penny.

If you are opening .pdf files in flexi that is your problem, flatten them in PS and then load the PSD file. Otherwise like others have said, try a reinstall.

I haven't cut perf in a while, but seems like slow cut speeds would work fine with either blade....you may need to print some extra crops on clear or lam and place them over the original crops, from what I remember our CG was finicky with reading crops on some materials.

I believe you are backwards, latex will lighten the more you stretch because it is essentially baked on the vinyl. That being said if you are losing color due to stretch you are probably doing something wrong.

I would say the last image is your print heading 'scraping' the media as it passes over, maybe a media feed issue? Most solvent printers I've worked with require a well dialed in profile for solid grays or blues to print perfectly.

I have the same issue with the first 4 to 6 feet on Oralite 5700, except cleaning with alcohol makes no difference on the reflective. I usually just cut that chunk off and use it for other cut only jobs.

Ebay it as a parts machine, some savvy individual will buy it.
