The fact that you have a spectropad and an LFP like i do, i dont think you "need" the LFP qb. But we all like new toys.
I wonder how the camera system works. I have issues with auto position with transmissive measurements, and when measuring glass, the auto position doesn't work. I know why it...
That's quite a bit more expensive than the LFR rt.
Barbieri like to charge an arm and a leg for accessories though!! damn.
My LFP sample holders wern't cheap either.
Sounds like a bit of fun. Are you doing all print modes or just 1 for each media.
I tend do make a profile for a media when i need to use that media if it's not done yet. I dont know if onyx has changed their ICC profiling system but it seems as i can get better output lately with onyx or...
Got that right. Most of us dont really need it. Nor do most of us actually need the LFPrt like what i've got.
It's more for large production houses that have many printers and need to keep them all calibrated. My LFP gets used once a month. But when im calibrating, it'll take me a day or 2 or a...
1: you need software to run it. Software in the printing industry is not cheap. Hence why i originally said to buy the i1 publish pro 2 as you get everything you need to improve your printing output. You can use the software i posted in my reply which is open source stuff (coloris) To use the...
IMO buy the right tool once, and it'll last you a long time.
I see you're using caldera. You can just buy this.
X-Rite i1 Pro 2 Spectrophotometer | eBay
Caldera will be able to create profiles for you.
and you can probably use this:
Coloris | ArgyllCMS GUI to further help you.
That thing is like a toy compared to proper spectrophotometers.
You'd be better off with this. IMO this is a good starter pack. Xrite spectrophotometers are good and quite reasonable prices compared to others.
You want the "i1 publish pro 2" kit
You should be able to calibrate your monitor...
Barbieri have released a new product. The Spectro LFP qb. basically an LFP rt replacement.
Looks like a great all round unit as the head now is removable and able to use as a hand held measuring device where the old LFP you couldn't. This could replace my LFP and Spectro Pad as an all in 1...
I would like to provide an online service. Because i know there's a lot of people who like to do the whole online purchase and order with out actually going anywhere.
It's something i'll eventually do, i just need to work out what products are most viable. A lot of our stuff is either to big...
Yeah that works. The pedals don't operate the machine or just not sure what does what?
Every machine will have some bug or something. Restarting an Arizona is quite easy, just like restarting a big PC. Just can't keep it off for long as the ink heads will start dripping.
I print white ink...
That's not the issue. The RMO (roll media option) isn't connected via ethernet communications. It uses it's own 4 pin (i think) cable, to the motherboard.
Ended up solving it, had to restart it. then keep pressing unload so it would turn to the unlock position and take the rolls off. restart it again and and press unload and it all seemed to work.
Im trying to change media on my RMO as i was printing a whole load of banners, and now going back to my roll of paper used for nozzle checks and test prints.
For some reason i cannot unload the RMO. The screen comes up with "check motion errors" and i get a communication error" The cables seem...
Most of my work is is all Art work orientated. For example, you couldn't print 3x 3m x 1.8m pieces of glass that need to line up 100% on a belt.
Yes you can print and line up aluminium composite sheets if you print crop marks and cut them later, but with glass you don't have that option.
Yeah i see where you're coming from. I suppose they both have the pros and cons.
It does depend on your output and your market base. For us, we prefer a true flatbed. It produces the most crisp images. vacuum table sucks the media down allowing the heads to be as close to the media as it needs...
Who the hell is going to transport a single piece that big? If someone came to me for something that big. no problem, you're getting multiple sheets no matter how it's printed, on the flatbed or stuck on with vinyl.
Im not sold on any "material advancing systems" for flatbeds. I can happily...
