I dont print as much as a fulltime shop would but I change the dampners on my xc540 about every 6 months to be safe.
I would think if your test print is fine its either a dampner or a pump on its way out. But I am FAR from a expert.
There are adjustments on the take up roll. Your take up roll is not running perfectly straight with the material which makes it buckle up on one side or the other. If you look on the ends of the weight bar (dancer bar) there are adjustment screws to square it up. Are you using the media clamps...
How old is the avery vinyl? I use avery 1105 all the time and if I have a roll thats older it will do this. Yes the only way to use it is to babysit the machine. Sometimes I am away from printing for a month or two and when I come back this happens. I have tried different heat settings to no...
Rick, Do you use Cadtools? I downloaded the trial version and have noticed that when there is a clipping mask involved the numbers are not quite correct. Am I doing something wrong? Seems pretty straight forward to get the area by sq inches but the clipping mask throws a wrench into the mix.
Is there a script out there that can take a odd shaped design in Illy and calculate the SQ FT? I work with some REALLY weird shapes and have to calculate the sq ft. It can be a pain in the *ss sometimes. Looking to make life easier! Thanks

Can I ask a dumb question? How does the aftermarket ink ruin a head? Does aftermarket ink dry up in the lines easier and plug the heads or something? The ink doesnt actually do anything to the head physically does it? Not trying to be a smart ass or anything. Just curious.
Yes both those example are what I am looking for but the shape is more complex than just a rectangle which complicates things. I just used the rectangle as a example. Attached is the clients shape. The bottom trapezoid will have a picture behind it showing in the white area. I need the inside...
Everything I have found online for PS shows how to make the image edge fade and I know how to do that with feather. Just cant find anything regarding the shape and fading the edge of it.
In the attached example there is a purple border around a JPG. Is there a way to make the border gradually fade into the picture on the inside edge of the border. Want the outside edge to remain full opacity. I am guessing with a transparent gradient but if the border is all one shape is there a...
