I believe I read that Thunder turned into Full Spectrum? Also a laser in an enclosed case is a Class 1- a flatbed laser is a Class 3 or 4, the difference, among others, is everyone in the room requires laser eye protection.
I have a Chicom laser arriving on the 30th... and the journey begins.
It is little different in a print only machine. I have one Que setup for cut files and one for print only files- you bring your cut only file into the print only que (so you get no crop marks), rip it and pull it down into the plotter window at the bottom.
Lisa- it doesn't have anything to do with the plotter- it has to do with the way Flexi is connected. One station has a usb connection to the plotter and that station has Production Manager on it. All the other copies of Flexi send cut files to that
PM. Flexi searches your LAN for the one copy...
I have a 150w 3 x 4' laser coming now- I would love to know more about what these people are using for lasers (power wise).
Also if they have a website. Thanks Gene
LAN is Local Area Networking- with the cabling (CAT5) you use to get the internet to the computers. Are your computers
on a network? You can delete the PM on any computer you don't want it on. Or not loading it is an option when loading Flexi.
You should have production manager on the (one) computer hooked to the plotter- the other copy of Flexi sends the job to the PM that is hooked to the plotter. Flexi will search your LAN for the other PM.
They are not vertical- definitely horizontal.
I have always used bulk systems right out of the box on new Roland printers. I could not find one for this printer and had to start out using 440 carts. Hugely more expensive and hassle. Triangle has just made this ink available in liters in the...
I stopped buying combo printers- I cut 25 ft decals on my GX500 all the time with no problems. The combos are not good
trackers. They are way cheaper also- VS640 list is $24k and RF640 is $17k- main difference I can see is the cutter (also configured slightly
different).
Drove by Menard's (think local big box store with lumber) and the parking lots were jammed to the edges. Oh well... my sweetie will not get her yarn winder made today- it's a surprise so she will not know. I have tried not to enter stores between TG and Xmas for at least the last 25 years. And...
I would not let it swing free- you will get rust forming where it moves on the eyes and the rust will run down the face. Tether it to keep from swinging.
Hi Joe (I know you from the 3dsignforum)- pretty HDuty for a hobbyist- do you intend to do scanning for hire? I would think
there is a market for that. Good luck Gene
Started this business 19 years ago after selling my bodyshop (got tired of insurance companies telling me what I could charge) - have never used anything but green 3m body tape- 3/4 and 1.5 inch. Used to get it at NAPA but from ABody supply is cheaper, and they deliver. Costs money to make money...
