  1. Cocut huge price cut

I don't want to get into any OS wars here, just reporting what I see in this area, which always puzzles me when I see Windows only software companies. I guess OS usage must be different in other areas. Yes I do use Windows for what I have to use it for, RIPs mostly but my RIPs do have Mac...
  2. Training Problem with caldera version 10

There are a lot of experienced users on here that can help you through it. My regular RIP did not have drivers for the L360 when I had to purchase it so I got some trail versions of other RIPs to get me printing until the first beta driver release for my RIP. One of those was Caldera and I...
  3. Cocut huge price cut

I will never understand some of these companies that only go after half the market, and when it comes to graphics less than half. Of the clients that I print for only 2 out of 10 use Windows.
  4. NEW HP Latex 310/330/360 Printers Firmware

    No problems here.
  5. 330 vs 360

I would be interesting to know on the 330 since it is slowed down if HP allows for more ink density. Unless you can live with a washed out look, 4 and 2 pass are pretty much useless on the 360.
  6. NEW HP Latex 310/330/360 Printers Firmware

NEXUS_00_03_09.3 (6 Nov 2014) 1. Fix for some 79.2:04 and 79:04 system error incidences. 2. Improved long-term curing performance -> HP strongly recommends the installation of this new firmware, even if you are happy with the current curing performance (also included in the previous...
  7. Thinking about an HP L360 and have a few questions...

For a top quality RIP I would take a serious look at ColorGate. Very easy to use and does not have settings scattered in different windows like Caldera and Onyx do. You can get a demo. I have a demo here of Colorgate, that I have not tried (though I have used ColorGate in the past) yet. I was...
  8. Forced into low ink densities on the L360

Had a little bit of banner vinyl left on the roll so I thought I would test this. 6p_CMYK Ink Density set at 100%. Yes it does lay down more CMYK, but an optimizer setting of 0 is not an option, too much ink coalescing going on.
  9. Print Rip errors with HP 210 Latex & FlexiCloud...

Has this started after any of this hardware had been replaced. Is IPv6 turned on in the Router?
  10. Print Rip errors with HP 210 Latex & FlexiCloud...

IP address of printer not likely the issue as long as it has a unique one. Check network connections and cables. Make sure router or network switch is not failing. Test direct network connection between RIP and Printer. Printer at least should support auto crossover for direct cable...
  11. Print Rip errors with HP 210 Latex & FlexiCloud...

Are you getting error codes on the printer? Do you have the latest firmware installed? Do the errors show up on the RIP? If so what do the errors report, or anything showing in the log files?
  12. plagued by 14:06 errors for 3 years now, on my L25500 - now its beyond belief...

Looks like the first place to look might be a cable or connector. But I am surprised the techs couldn't have tested all this and discovered the problem. Do you have a service manual? SE Code: 14.06:00 - One or more heaters are not connected Problem Description: There is a communication failure...
  13. which HP?

No not pushing it to the top, just pushing it around enough so that you will see the roller marks, but it will show up everywhere not just where the rollers hitting it.
  14. which HP?

That is from plasticizers coming to the surface on PVC banner media. Ultraflex is the worst. I have not had much problem with key banner. Wipe the media down with alcohol and you can print just fine. And no the Latex Optimizer in the L300s make no difference.
  15. Forced into low ink densities on the L360

That might be hard to tell, but I have to try it especially with 8 or 6 pass banner.
  16. Curious about Graphic Tablets... or some such item

I have used a table for so long I find it very difficult to use a mouse. Don't know how you guys do it that design with a mouse. I have used the large Intuos 4 large (18 x24) on a two screen MacPro every since it was released. One that size is no longer listed as available by Wacom so if it...
  17. Forced into low ink densities on the L360

What I meant was, I want to see on the media when I have gone too far or laying too much ink down. As it is with 8, 10 or 12 pass (unless I use the backlit settings at 12 pass) I can not see that as the media will likely take more than what the 300 series will give. The ink limits are set too...
  18. HP L360 for small letters

Onyx Thrive will default to 300dpi. You have to change the profile to 600dpi or create a new one and set it to 600dpi. The Latex Optimizer setting has to be set in the Advance setting for the substrate quality on the printer. I am pretty sure with Onyx Thrive all profiles downloaded from the...
  19. HP L360 for small letters

Besides the 600dpi rendering you also need to have the Latex Optimizer set higher if you want fine edge detail. There is an on-board test that will show you the results of different Optimizer settings.
  20. which HP?

The on board profiling is not that great. 1. There are large number of media settings where you can not use the on board profiling. 2. While you can get adequate profiles from the on board for the media it will allow, you can get far better color management by doing it yourself. I also noticed...
