  1. Purchasing a trimmer...

I have a Fotoba WR 75. I've had it for two years now. I still laugh every time I use it. In the past I would dread large jobs because of the table time. I can now process a job that would have taken several hours in about ten to fifteen minutes. It's awesome. That said. The...
  2. How to ultrasonic clean my head and is this a good idea

@Border I tried to order some from SW and I had to buy 4 gallons of it. Could I buy some off you or order a gallon from your SW store? I'm up in Maine. The SW here barely has paint in it. Let me know. I need some of this badly to rebuild an older printer.
  3. How to ultrasonic clean my head and is this a good idea

Buy a cheap-o jewelry cleaner (stainless steel basin is required). Put a half inch of flush at the bottom and give it a couple cycles. Don't let the bottom of the head touch the cleaning tank. This procedure works best on UV heads. I've tried it on a DX4 with no success.
  4. Roland LEJ-640 Colors Misaligned

You may need to calibrate your print head physically. Then re-calibrate with software. Call a tech if you don't know how to do this.
  5. Got the XR-640 installed today!

+1 - I'm dying to see this thing run.
  6. Do not use kas or sam-ink they are all suck

I understand your woes. I had similar problems with Triangle. That ink CONTINUALLY fried my heads which lead to head board blow outs as well. I called for warranty work and they literally laughed at me. That felt awesome.
  7. How cold is it where you live?

Another Maine-ah with the weather report. It's 1 now, but should be -5 or -6 tonight. It was a blistering 6 today.
  8. Roland sp540v odd/issue

sounds like scan motor, encoder registration problem. The buzzing noise is most likely low power always on the motor while the heads are parked because of an encoder registration error.
  9. Stop using topical steroid creams!

I have used low grade topical steroids for years and years for skin problems. I've been weening myself of them and moving to a vitamin D based analog. It's not been an easy transition. Steroids are a bad scene.

  14. Roland Sp 540v question Please Help!!!

Sounds like he wants z6100 quality with Eco-sol benefits. His prints are fine I suspect. Expectations are off for the equipment.
  15. FB950 Electronic board repair

Do you have an idea of what's wrong? Blown caps, etc. are there known issues with this board?
  16. How long can you print and cut?

8' or less. I usually set up jobs for 5 or 6 ft. The longest I ran was 12 or 14 ft.
  17. VP 300 Yellow prints all the time

It could be a blown head.
  18. Roland Sp 540v question Please Help!!!

It looks like VW output problem. Turn the carriage speed down a couple hundred MM/Sec on small prints and you'll get much tighter dot placement on smalls. At the end of the day, the drop size on these machines are much larger than than of aqueous, so it is what it is. On small...
