Nice work. I've had to replace about six transistors on my printer. sj-745ex. Great machine though.
Make sure you place thermal paste on the back of the transistor that's touching the heat sink. Also, make sure all the allen screws are tight and secure to the sinks on all the remaining...
I use solaris. LOVE THEM!
I am curious how the Triangle Eco-Sol is. I used their MLD and it put a hurting on my machine. I'm leery to switch to a Triangle product.
:noway:
I don't think Roland will adopt a new inkset. They're still selling Eco-Sol, so they can't sing the praises on Latex and Eco-Sol at the same time.
This will be a DX5 (dual) unit in a wider width. No cutter on board.
What Kanini said.
It's a heads up to let you know about the ink levels. I guess on the new rolands (XR), it will have you pull carts if you don't have enough ink for a job. Then you can put the old carts back in and it logs ink usage. Kind of nice on long run jobs. so you don't walk into...
chromatic banding.
align the heads in the di-dir calibration. Profile could be the problem. We get certain medias. Only fix is to increase passes. Other materials, I never see it.
I successfully use Solaris in my Rolands using the bulk systems that have the floats in the cartridge. Good stuff. The ink has a stronger odor so I vent. Prints are great.
I will probably use OEM on my other Roland only because of the printers location - I'm unable to vent it.
The pinkish problem is a rip problem with the color space you're using. I'm familiar with this. That's all software. Sounds like you're getting scammed from the tech. Lets see that test print.
I have this printer and have rebuilt it two times from the ink needles up.
Check the ink lines going to the heads. Most likely the heads/dampers are contaminated.
Are the carts in the right order in the back of the printer?
