  1. Intelicoat Inks for Roland SP540v

I can attest to VERY bad, and good 3rd party inks. The problem is trying an inkset on a printer that could damage 6k+ worth of heads. If you're not sure, stick with OEM inks. Can't go wrong with factory inks.
  2. Looking for DX4 heads distributor with large order

no kidding. $1 for an epson 10000 head. I'll take 20 too.
  3. Laminating with a Big Squeegee vs. laminating machine

I laminate everything with a BS. I don't have a laminator, but I need one. After I laminate something I hit it with a felt squeegee to really put the pressure to it. After a day the silvering goes away and the print is perfect. Love the BS.
  4. Roland Bulk Ink System/Third Party Inks??

We use Solaris Roland ink from Fellers. In liter bottles. We use the bulk system that has tanks connected to carts with floats in the cart. This keeps the ink pressures perfect. We run our carts at about 1/3rd full and never have problems. I love Solaris ink. The inks due stink...

  7. SC-545EX Problems - Help Please!

Disconnect the dampers from the heads. Flush the lines with your inkset's cleaning solution, then flush with Roland flush. Then put OEM ink in the system. Change all the dampers and run OEM. Before putting the new dampers on the heads, flush heads with bulk flush, then Roland flush, then...
  8. New Solaris 440 Ink has TOXIC smell, anyone else experience this?

I won't post photos because, honestly, it's an ugly job. It does work. I'd be happy to explain how I did it. I took a 4" hole saw and cut a hole on the top of the printer above the platen area. I vented this with dryer vents and an HVAC inline booster fan. I then built an enclosure...
  9. New Solaris 440 Ink has TOXIC smell, anyone else experience this?

I have noticed after the last year that the bulk inks have gotten more smelly. I vent my printer off the platen and trap/vent the take up area, so it's not a problem. I did all this because of Triangle ink. I kept this in place when I switched to Solaris. If I was using carts I would...

  12. SC-545EX Problems - Help Please!

:goodpost: I too have a 745ex and need to run much slower in the winter. As soon as it warms up a but, I can print fast again. Ink starvation is a PITA.
  13. licensing agreements

I have a great deal of knowledge regarding licensing and intellectual property. Is your client the licensee, or the licensor? Typically if a licensee required a third party to manufacture the product, the licensor will require you to sign some contracts stating that the IP is their...
  14. Bioshock Infinite - Eye candy for sign makers.

It's on my list of purchases. I need to move my xbox to the shop because I can never play it with my wee kids around. I have so many games I have to finish. No time.
  15. Soljet XF

    Agreed.
  16. Soljet XF

Print speeds are pretty awesome. I also like the pinch roll lever on the front and back of the machine. Post heating is killer too. I like the machine. How long before they offer the 74"? What I was REALLY hoping for was dual CMYKcmk. I'm tired of fighting color shifts in BW white...
  17. Roland SC-545EX Ghosting

Looks like a bi-dir calibration is needed as well as a calibration via service mode.
  18. Roland VersaArt RA-640

I've had there error when the carriage is out of sync with the encoder as well. I know it's related to feed, but when things go bad, the printer starts throwing codes. ;)
