it always starts with some nice negative space. then the requests keep coming, " can we make this bigger... I think this is too small...etc. I always end up hoping that the frame wont cover anything up. she spent 45 min here yesterday and I couldnt get her away from her clip art vines and tiny...
ralph from special ed does! Oh I forgot to mention I haven't even gotten approval to call it "italian steak house". on the original it was "italian food & steak." And in case you're wondering, yes those are super small raster roses that they want me to blow up.
I can't get people to agree to take my designs! Constant rejection. It's like asking a girl to the prom and she says "sorry, but I'm going with Ralph, you know the guy in the special Ed. classes that eats his earwax..." so here are some designs for an italian restaurant. I made 2 and the owners...
We do a bunch of them here. We print on cheap glossy calendered, then the client applies the decal and applies a clear laquer layer to give high gloss, and seal the graphic.
Thanks I'll do that. I kind of narrowed my options down to Caldera or ergo soft (heard really good things about ES) but caldera runs on mac, and since we are looking to get rid of our last PC I had to scratch off ergo soft.
Ok, can anyone recommend a high quality rip that runs natively on a mac? I would really like it to be able to calculate accurately ink consumption per job, and the ability to control ink density w/o having to create a custom profile. I'm using versaworks right now.
Is anyone here running caldera on a mac? how do you like it. what options are worht it, and what should I stay away from? I was looking at the visual rip+ for my xc-540 with the cost view and easy media options. The easy media option is a bit pricey at 2 grand, is it worth it?
the calendared I am using has a clear adhesive. at first I thought i didnt let it outgas enough before applying, but even after leaving for a weekend before applying with fluid, it doesn't want to take. just trying to figure something out to make my life easier next week when I have to apply...
Application fluid worx like a champ on computer cut vinyl, but not so much on digitally printed vinyl. The fluid takes forever to dissipate when I use it to lay down large graphics printed on calendared media and creates edge curl that never wants to go back down well. Has anyone else had this...
If you have any removable wall vinyl, I would use that to cover the old graphics. This will mask the color of them while protecting them during removal of the new ones. cost is higher, but should do what you need.
possible
Those are both possible options if we cant find something like this (see Attatched). We were told that if we keep it off of the building with a pole system it will reduce the fade and make it easier to change.
I am trying to find an exterior mounting system for a banner, about 14'X40' WxH (we haven't settled on a size yet) with pole pockets top and bottom. We would like it to hold the banner away from the building and have the ability to be tightened or loosened for easy banner changeout. I havent had...
