  1. Registration marks not recognized when doing print/lam/cut

There is a Crop Sense Test in the Service Mode, with the possibility to adjust the sensitivity of the sensor by turning a potentiometer on the head carriage. But this will lead to a small improvement only, if any. If doing this job regularly, I would suggest to buy an additional cutter with a...

  6. Problem with the sensor OMAS cleaning L26500

There is no detector for a dirty OMAS-Sensor. To clean it is a suggestion if it won't work properly, but this could have some other reasons too. For example, if using transparent media or media with a very smooth backing (e. g. PET), the OMAS Sensor will not work even if it's dirty or not. So...

  9. Question Regarding Roland SC-545ex

Question about SC545 or SP300, better in what ways? The SP300 is a 30"-Printer, the SC545 a 54". Depending on your needs, the recommendation could be for the SP300 or the SC545. Ink and printing technology is nearly the same, but services and repairs can be more expensive on a SC545 because he...
  10. VS 540 vs. Mimaki JV33 vs. Summa DC4 for motocross graphics

The cutting engine integrated into the DC4 is the same as the SummaCUT, except the feed system. So max. 400g and different knife types are available. Be aware of that mirror metallic on the DC4 (as with the eco-solvents too) is not suitable for outdoor use (except matte gold and matte silver...
  11. Help needed on deciding between dc4sx and sp300i

Yes, Color Control is a really simple software. But there are other RIP's which supporting the DC4sx, for example Signlab or FlexiSIGN-PRO (better no version before 10). Depending on how much colours you use. A customer (I'm working at a dealer) prints mostly just white text on olive green...
  12. VP-540 not seeing correct media width

Are you new with that machine? I suspect that you don't set the pinch rollers correctly. In opposite to most of the print-only-machines, the print & cut-rolands do not measure the width of the media: They measure the distance between the outer pinch rollers (like a cutting plotter). If you set...
  13. Need help finding ColorCamm PC-600 Printhead # 22805387

The technology roland uses for that printers is originally developped and produced by Alps. Perhaps they still produce heads, but as far as I know roland modifies them a little bit.

  18. Roland SC-545 EX new pump style upgrade

Difference in what? The biggest difference between new and old pumps is that the new pumps lasts longer than the old ones (200'000 rotations instead of 60'000 rotations estimated lifetime, with less rotations per cleaning cycle). And they sound different, it is a more permanent "rrrrrrrrrrrr"...
  19. Roland SC-545 EX new pump style upgrade

You're welcome. The last (right) digit of Page 12 needs to be changed from 0 to 1. The pump will work too with 0, but the modification of the value will adapt the number of rotations per cleaning cycle to the flow capacity of the pumps. Minimum firmware requirement is 6.80.
  20. Roland SC-545 EX new pump style upgrade

Yes, the new pumps will go directly on their pump motors, but to mount a pump motor to a pump a special bracket is needed (3 of them contained in the kit). When the motor is mounted to the pump, the 3 pump/motor-assemblies were mounted into one new bigger bracket (part of the kit too, with all...
