  1. Stickers advice

That works, but it's a pain in the butt. I'd still outsource them if I were you. If you really must do it though.... that's how you do it.
  2. Value Jet 64" Banding Issues

Keep the head on the high position, clean around the heads thoroughly and run 2 cleanings. Then try again.

  5. SEX!!! (OK, what font is this?)

Don't have much hope in anyone running, Obama scares me, but not as much as Hillary. Not near as much. I'll just sit back, watch a while, and vote for what I feel best after seeing everyone fight for a while. Then pray for the best.

  9. Flexi color problem!

Alright, another reason Flexi frustrates me. I have a color gradient I made well over a year ago, and now I'm working with an outside designer who needs the colors of the gradient. Well, I can't figure out their CMYK or Pantone color! I have the gradient saved, so I can use it with my printer...
  10. Need my own font

Yeah, great. Was hoping it would be easy if I was messing with a current font that had it's kerning and spacing all dialed. But if I have to do it the hard way to make it look good.... I have to do it the hard way. :Big Laugh Time to crank start up my old Corel 8!
  11. Need my own font

I don't have a manual for 8. I bought it atleast 5 years ago, and all I have left is a copy of the disc, even the original is somehow lost! I'm notoriously bad for losing software/ clipart... 8, still have it though. Will play with some functions. No, I do not want some vector letters, that's...
  12. Need my own font

Alright, I totally forgot how to do this but did it once 4 years ago. Curious..... how do you tweak a font, like, impact, to a custom one? Like with some tweaking, slashes etc? Can you do it in Corel 8? I like to take a common font and customize it.... just wish I didn't have to do it EVERY...

  16. Please help: which cutter to cut 20 mil of various media?

I have tried cutting through the backing paper, and while it sometimes works, it is not good long term and it's always hit and miss. For just a few shapes, go the die-cutting route. Definitely.
  17. Newbie Getting Beat up!

Howdy. Mind sharing the color and width of the 751 you are talkin about? For 15 inch that sounds a bit high, for 24", a bit low. Buy more than a couple yards at a time and it will save you a few bucks.
  18. Photoshop and Wide Format printing

What kind of image? For most stuff, illustration programs. Corel and Flexi. For advanced raster editing, photoshop. 95% of design work is Corel though...
  19. Please help: which cutter to cut 20 mil of various media?

Your budget is far too low. To consistently cut through the material and backing paper, ESPECIALLY at 20mil thick, you'd have to get a flatbed plotter. Which start at $14,000. A friction feed plotter simply cannot handle this kind of work effectively. Trust me, I've tried many times over on a...
  20. corel vs flexi

You will still need a bridge program like has been suggested. However, I believe CorelDraw and CoCut would be an awesome combo and keep you happier than Flexi. I also would still switch to XP. Vista stinks IMHO.
