  1. MORE networking issues

So had to replace my RIP 'puter today, and start from scratch on my networking again. Can't do it. They won't connect, they won't talk. 3 hours down and nothing. I have both computers plugged into a router, I set up a network, they have the same subnet mask and similiar IP addresses. BUT THEY...
  2. need to wait between printing and laminating?

Depends on the machine and material. I'm using a ValueJet and printing on Arlon and Oracal.... I never wait, just run it through when it's done printing.
  3. Vinyl signs

Sure, you can make money off of it. If you're a good designer and charge a fair fee. $15, you got a steal. You will not make a good living selling signs for $15 each, I sell them for double that. Stick to what you know. Making signs is a profession, just like most any other job. It's not easy...

Nice. I hate plex signs, might have to have you make some plex faces here soon. Have some trade pricing you could put up or direct us to...???

  8. Upgrading from 8.1 to 8.5

Ah, have to go online to get it to work. Lovely. What about us who like to keep our work stations off the web to keep out viruses and such, what do we do then? 8.0 now. Next Flexi upgrade in this shop will be selling it on ebay and finding a new RIP program.
  9. GO....MITT...GO...you handsome devil!!!!

"around here" .... meaning like in my personal 15 mile radius. Vancouver is kind of a mix, best I can tell. Seattle is full of Dems (and a lot of other things). I'm just talking my little area here. Bronco drivin', chew spittin' , rifle packin' white guys that bleed republican. Sorry, just...
  10. GO....MITT...GO...you handsome devil!!!!

I think I have one friend who's a dem... maybe one, I dunno. He might have converted. Democrat is usually a bad word around here. lol.
  11. Successful contour cuts on printed reflective?

Don't use the ARMS, use manual alignment w/ your little laser.

Nice. Be neat to have that as a tile-able background.
  16. export problem in Corel

Bringing in photographs, cutting the, and exporting them. I've just noticed though, that no matter what the file, no matter how simple or complex.... it leaves those lines. We're talking on hundreds of files here... not just one.
  17. export problem in Corel

Hey guys, maybe you can help me with this. When I export an image in CorelDraw X3, it leaves a very thin white border along the bottom and left hand side of the image. Any idea how to get rid of this? I can't seem to make it stop doing it...
  18. New 1204, New Business! Set-Up Questions!

Sorry, just trim it. Printing to the edge will cause nightmares. Be a man and get the razor blade out. lol. Oh, and welcome!!!
  19. Pricing: Is the Glass Half Empty or Half Full?

Poor example. If you run into that kind of issue, simply add on. And charge a minimum of 10x the cost of your materials for most vinyls. I do some jobs by the job, some by the square foot. Depends on the material. But atleast my prices are consistent.
  20. Banner on Mutoh Valuejet 1604

Cold media really stinks. Had that, doesn't print well. I've been printing fine with my ValueJet. What media are you using? I've noticed some of the chinese banner brands don't take ink well. Take over a day to properly cure, and never bond all that well.
