very true, a big fan of VHB, its SUPER DUCT TAPE
the oxidation on the mill finish is what concerns me, any time that VHB has been used previously it is always on a finished surface (usually baked enamel) have to think that the oxidation would play a factor in long term outdoor adhesion.
the mounting plate is .125 mill finish aluminum, and the top plate is also .125 mill finish aluminum.
What is the suggested epoxy/adhesive for a mill finish surface?
the sizes will vary but the max size is 18" x 18"
with the oxidation that happens with mill finish, am hesitant to use the VHB...
what material are you talking about?
taking a complete guess but have you contacted your supplier and asked for the needed color swatches? they usually are happy to comply
if you are determined to do the work yourself, youtube will be your best friend. There lots a videos on what you want to do.
otherwise outsource to a digitizer, ie vector doctor
the 60* blade help LOTS when you have the acute angles, keeps the material
we have several blades preloaded into holders and depending on the material/thickness determines not only the blade degree but also the offset value.
Since metallic is a must the Summa is going to be the better option.
We have a VS 640 with metallic and the metallic is no where near the same as the Summa
Has anyone used these vinyls and how did they compare?
I have looked at the Orcal chart, and know the spec differences mil thickness, removable/permanent etc...
Looking more for real world comparisons and thoughts on print quality, install (conform ability), shrinkage, etc...
the updated design is MUCH improved.
The font for the top line needs to be changed, looking at the thumbnail it reads JES that "&" needs to be more defined and/or much smaller
+1 very good advice
Did you install the graphics on the vehicle? if so a word of advice to the "noob" do not install where you have to cut through lettering and/or numbers.
The graphic needs to be moved to the L so the door jam is between the words and numbers.
