  1. Getting all the ink

    Hey man, whatever works! :rock-n-roll::thumb:
  2. Getting all the ink

I'm sure some will benefit from this tip, I just don't see the reason to fuss over 20 grams of ink (what is that in litres anyways?) I realize that times are tight these days, but this seems like a "spending dollars to save pennies" situation to me.
  3. Getting all the ink

don't you run the risk of getting air in the lines? If that happens, wouldn't you loose any savings you got in time spent re-priming the lines?
  4. Custom Rugs - Is there a market?

Those look like really high end stuff, I'm used to seeing the dye-sub carpets at most trade shows, these look much better than them! I've never gotten asked about carpets before so i'm not sure how they would sell or what the end user would be expecting to pay.
  5. which ink/media for photos/tradeshow graphics?

no the laminate determines the gloss level, not the vinyl. there are ultra gloss laminates available, contact your supplier, some are so glossy they look wet. you may want to have him reconsider the high gloss look, under certain lighting conditions, the gloss will make the prints pretty hard...

  10. Price of gasoline, petroleum.. etc.

I live in Canada, I understand the concept of large distances Bob. I'm not suggesting that everyone put a windmill in their backyard and sing Kombya, I'm saying that the current trend of building residential housing so far away from commercial developments is doing nothing to help us use less...
  11. Price of gasoline, petroleum.. etc.

I've never understood that, you are about to go into a Walmart the size of a small city and walk around aimlessly for hours, does parking 100 feet closer to the door really make a difference?
  12. Price of gasoline, petroleum.. etc.

It is expensive, my wife is originally from Croydon (south of london) and whenever we go visit her parents, it's about 17 GBP to go to and from London Victoria, I've always just summed it up to England being a very expensive country (London especially!)
  13. Price of gasoline, petroleum.. etc.

hopefully the raise in prices of fuel will make people stop and think a bit, plan their trips a bit better, I realize that some things are unavoidable, but the amount we drive is silly. We've built communities where it is impossible to walk anywhere. Everyone wants to live in subdivisions where...
  14. Price of gasoline, petroleum.. etc.

Gas has been $5 a gallon here for a while, nothing has changed, everyone still drives to the corner store 3 times a day.
  15. Starting with a black and white logo

Thanks for clearing that up, I didn't mean any disrespect by my comment, I was just curious.
  16. Starting with a black and white logo

Just to play devils advocate, what does a deer have to do with laying tile? The design is great, but the deer makes me a bit confused
  17. Companies Move Manufacturing Jobs Back to America

They are not alone, There are quite a few American companies that have plants up here, that are closing up their Canadian operations and moving back south, Aparently there are quite a few financial incentives the US government has introduced that is making this worthwhile. It makes you wonder...
  18. iFactory the very first look at the Apple factory

If anything, this just shows how much we depend on China for everything these days. take a look around your office and try to find 1 thing that you use everyday that is made in North America, Most of our industry is based on harvesting natural resources (to send to china) and the tech industry...
  19. NAS fileserver?

I just recently bought a Netgear ReadyNAS, and i am also very disapointed in the speed, files seem to take ages to open, sometimes 3-4 minutes to open a simple 5 meg CorelDraw file.
  20. L25500 and unlaminated print

I don't think the prints will fade too much in 2 years, especially in the UK as you don't get as much sun as most of Canada/US Like Gabagoo said, my main concern would be removing the vinyl after 2 years, especially cheap removable vinyl, most of it has a removability life span of 1 year. the...
