  1. Am I at fault? Or is this guy just being a little too picky?

This is exactly what happened, you have 2 options, either tell him to hit the road, or suck it up and fix it and send him new decals. Also, the maple leaf pictured is not the same leaf as from the flag.
  2. engraving

We have 2 vision engravers, they are both about 15 years old, I'm sure they have improved since than, but we want to throw ours off a cliff on a pretty regular basis.
  3. Oracal 631 on eggshell paint??

we just installed a chit ton of 631 last week in a 400 foot corridor, sticks great! as for the tape, we used the Oratape it reccomends in the book, it's very high tack and a bit of a pain to pull off, but the matte finish on the vinyl needs hi tack to grab the letters.
  4. Just finished logo design

Top left by leaps and bounds
  5. static cling prints

you are better off printing on clear and your gerber and floodcoating white after. We've had trouble with eco-sol ink sticking to the glass after the decal has been removed.

  9. Advanced skill value...

I can see why most companies would consider you over qualified, there are probably only a handful of companies in the country who would be able to use you to your full potential. The only company I have experience with that might be a good fit would be someone like Entro in Toronto...
  10. Someone else's marketing/customer policies...........

Whenever this happens to us, I always insist that they pay the freight, i'm happy to pay it for the initial shipment, but if you need to send multiple shipments to fulfill my order because you don't have enough stock, that's not my problem.
  11. Great post on the process behind Garcon Grotesque

it's bob's way or the highway, the sooner you realize this, the sooner you can learn to take what he says with a grain of salt
  12. Low tac posters

Avery 2611 Wall film, we've used it quite a bit in hospitals, they love the fact they can wipe them clean. It's the ONLY other wall film besides photo-tex that actually sticks to the wall and comes off cleanly when you want it to.
  13. my 4 month old l25500

I'll be keeping my eye on these threads, I've been considering a latex when our roland dies, when they first came out they were the second coming, i'll be interested to see how they stand the test of time.
  14. Museum Panels

+1 This 9 times out of 10 the poor assistant put in charge of ordering signs for their company knows absolutely nothing of what is expected, what the budget is and has no authority to approve any decision made. they are simply a living breathing answering machine relaying questions and answers...
  15. Told I was Too High?

if you are going to charge by material used, than at least charge by the running foot, what happens when someone wants a 2" x 20' stripe cut, that's only 480 square inches, or $24 using your pricing method, you wouldn't even cover materials in that situation. I would recommend sitting down and...

  17. Let's Discuss Pickles...

  18. For all you shops that bring the pooch to work

I find it adds a bit of character to the shop, if someone comes in and is scared of our 30 lb Cocker Spaniel, we will put him in the back shop while we deal with that particular customer. The only ones who seem to have an issue with him are some of the truckers delivering stuff, but I'm pretty...
