You could be stretching it without even knowing it, we just installed a box truck that had 1 panel not line up properly, we must have stretched it. you can try applying application tape over the vinyl to stop it, but this will be a major PITA if there are rivits.

Also, make sure they actually want a wrap, i can't tell you how many customers ask for a "wrap" when they are only looking for some cut vinyl lettering

I think what he's trying to say is that if you advertise to the "bottom of the barrel" crowd, who are looking for a cheap sign, chances are, you are going to have a very difficult time upselling them on something more expensive. Sure you will have some success, but most people who shop on price...
We have a supplier here in Canada that sells stuff that glows very brightly for 30-40 minutes, than softer for 8 hours, but it's about $75 a yard for 24" wide, we used it on some fire exit signs once and the customer was thrilled at how well it worked. I have no idea what brand it is though...
