on our SC545ex I tend to shoot for nearly a purplish hue in most greys. I have a few swatch colors I use if printing on this thing. By the time they get laminated, they are more grey, since most lam's add a tint of yellow, which exaggerates the green/grey.
A FEW EIGHTHS? You do know even a COUPLE EIGHTHS is a 1/4"....a few (3 would 3/8")....I'd say that is WAAY off. Something is not right there. My threshold of being 'off' is probably less than a 1/32".
Why are you using 12 pass? I'm just curious...I run nothing over 8 pass unless it's an upclose photo repro. 12 Pass may be shifting your colors. Try 8.
Also if you use canned profiles, most are made for 600x600 printing....you won't find many that are higher than that. If you want one at 1200, you have to build yourself. But to me anything above 600 is overkill and may use much more ink.
Since most plotters are connected to the PC via USB or Serial cable, you can't send information from another computer on the network UNLESS you are sending to the Production Manager as stated above. Maybe soon in the future there will be a WiFi or networked plotter, like a desktop printer. That...
