We have a customer who wants us to take the vinyl off a Lexan lit sign. It is white with black vinyl letters on the lower half. The want to take off those letters and put on some new info? Will there fading or a silo of the letters when we take it off? Obviously they're going cheap on us.

delete profiles Tried that too and it's still grayed out...

Tried both of those and neither works. I also found the profile in the system folder and deleted that but it's still showing up in the list; now with an exclamation mark.

How do you delete a profile in VersaWorks? It is greyed out when I go thru Media Explorer, select the profile and hit delete.

Man, wish I'd seen this post before. Did you laminate too, and it still peeled? Well, we bought two rolls, plus the lam. We're doing a couple trailers. I think we're going back to Oracal anyway - get what you pay for. 3M is the best but Oracal is doing all we need it to do.

Ok, yeah, but I don't have tha same issue with Oracal. I'll try the other profile but it usually doesn't come out rich enough.

Whoever thinks 3M 180c is the same price is crazy - unless I'm missing something. 4560 is more than half the price. Anyway, I'm using as VP-300 and printing "spot" colors and the ink tends bleed. More specifically the red and black are bleeding - any thoughts? I have the VW set up to recognize...

Arlon vs. Oracal I just looked in Fellers' book and the 3M 180c is three times as expensive as the Arlon 4560 GTX. Am I missing something?

I have a VP-300. How do I print 2 sides so they back up correctly? If I use the lead edge, is there a way to flip the print using the same file?

Customer is asking if we would store their signs. Sizes would be 4'x4' and 4'x8'. I suppose we'd do it on a yearly basis but how much to charge? We're charging for install/removal and travel. Plus they'd hopefully have us create the signs.

Customer want to wrap their vehicle in black vinyl (intead of paint it), and also have the grahics in print as well. Most of the vehicle will not have much graphics. Should we just print black/laminate and apply? I know there is black wrap but it's wicked expensive. We have a VP-300.

Actually, it's more that it needs to be spot and the word "CutContour". You can make it any color - I usually use 75% black/spot. It was CMYK. I think it had to do with the PSD file I placed had layers - didn't like that. I ended up resaving without layers as a tif and seems to work now. Thanks all!

I'm creating a CutContour in Illustrator, file also has a placed cmyk PSD image, when I bring it into VW it shows up as a white line, not the grey I assigned it. - Help!!??

I used Alien Skin and it worked well - until my Demo ran out. To buy it it's like $300. Does anyone know of a similar software that will work as well - but costs less? I'm running Mac OS 1 0.4.11, Photoshop CS3.

Got it, save as (RGB) psd.

Importing into Flexi I seem to get a white, or black, background no make what format I save it to. Tif has a "save transparency" option but Flexi doesn't seem to recognize it. Andy
