I do not own one, but I have two vendors that have them and both of them aren't fans. They run DX4 heads on them, which the manufacturer of the recovery system states this system does not work well on dx4 heads. I've heard good things for UV recovery, but I have not used it on UV heads...

Dirty nozzles with a dragging debris. Manually clean the heads, do a light head soak. Then an auto clean and you should be alright. It looks like you may have a humidity thing going on too. If you are in a low humidity enviro you should look into a humidifier.

I usually buy macs that 1-2 years old on ebay. they hold their performance and value. They run like champs for years. Unlike a pc that run like a dying donkey after two years.

I've had heads blow with 100,000 (triangle inx) shots on them. Not cool. I have a head in now that is 4 billion and going strong. I notice ghosting and other weak head problems around 2 billion shots usually. They will clear up and work okay for a few months and then get finicky again...

Usually if there is a size problem one can compensate with a large boat or sports car. I've heard that will make up for it. Sorry. I couldn't resist.

I was pumped for a minute. My vendor is close to that price also and I don't need any heads. I would have replaced one head that isn't great, but not for 700.00

I have both. I already have a stimpson. AWESOME machine. I've put tens of thousands of grommets through it. I have this grommet machine for button snaps. I hate this grommet machine. Go stimpson now. If you buy this. You'll use it once and buy a stimpson any way.

You should see the ventilation setup I made to vent my eco/no vent roland printer. I couldn't imagine running a mimaki like that. Get a vent system or walk.
