  1. How to connect SC-540 to Versaworks 4.1? PT2

Colorip will not run on Windows 7. It was an OEM Wasatch product, and they have newer versions of similar products that will run on Windows 7, but they are not zero cost. If you are familiar with the Colorip a newer Wasatch RIP may be a good option. At this point, you will have to invest in a...
  2. How to connect SC-540 to Versaworks 4.1? PT2

I'm sorry your dealer wasn't able to help. You can always feel free to give us a call at (949) 727-2100 and press '2' for support. If you want to send me a PM with your contact information, I can also get you directly in touch with our regional manager for your country.
  3. How to connect SC-540 to Versaworks 4.1? PT2

Since the SC-540 was introduced before VersaWorks, it will require a dongle to use it. Your local dealer in the Dominican Republic should be able to help. Unfortunately, there is no free solution.
  4. Bright Orange using Versacamm?

threeputt - There is no way that I am aware of to import the Roland libraries into Omega.
  5. Bright Orange using Versacamm?

Here's a video on the Roland Color System and Corel Draw that might be helpful: http://support.rolanddga.com/docs/Documents/departments/Technical%20Services/Videos/Using%20Roland%20Color%20with%20CorelDRAW.mp4 If you are using the latest version of Corel Draw, the library is actually...
  6. Solvex White Static Cling on Roland?!?!?!

I'm curious why you had to switch off the Roland product. It has proven quite popular and users seem happy with it. If you had a problem I would like any feedback you have, and I'd like to try and help, but it sounds like it worked well.
  7. Roland sj-640 VS VersaWorks

The SJ-640 pre-dates VersaWorks, so it requires a dongled copy in order to run from VersaWorks. The dongled copy does have a cost, but give us a call at (800) 542-2307 and press '2' for support and we can figure out your options.
  8. solvent printable art papers

We had a printer in Innova Art's booth at SGIA, and the prints looked great. http://www.innovaart.com/
  9. convert xc-540 to xc-540mt

We've gotten this request a lot. Unfortunately, there is no way to do it that would be remotely cost effective given the labor and number of new parts involved. The XC-540MT is not just an XC-540 with the cartridges swapped out, but rather has a lot of internal changes including an ink...
  10. Sihl Trisolve Posters sticking together

Roland's Solvent Glossy Paper might be an option. It dries quite well and there is a profile set up for in VersaWorks which will keep you from laying down too much ink. http://www.rolanddga.com/products/media/detail.aspx?id=96 There are sample rolls in stock here in Irvine if you want to try...
  11. static cling profile in versworks

The latest version of VersaWorks includes profiles for both white and clear cling. Check out update instructions here: http://rolanddga.com/owners/support/profiles/rolandnet.asp You might also want to take a look at our cling films here. The profiles were build on them...
  12. versaworks

The VersaWorks disk is $29.95. If you call us at 1-800-542-2307 and Press "2", customer service will be able to get one right out to you. It will be version 4.0. Once it is installed, you can use the online updater to get the latest updates and profiles. Feel free to PM me if you need any more...
  13. static cling vinyl not printable?

We had enough users report problems with a lot of the off-the-shelf products out there that we launched both a white and a clear cling recently to help solve them. There are profiles available in VersaWorks. I realize the OP is not running a Roland, so this may not help them, but hopefully this...
  14. VersaCAMM VS 540

Matt - Unfortunately, that is not currently the case. Our warranty terms can be found at http://www.rolanddga.com/owners/support/passport/terms_standard.asp. However, there have been some fairly recent changes and your printer purchase may predate them.
  15. VersaCAMM VS 540

The warranty is not transferrable. Since you aren't that familiar with the hardware, your best option would probably be to contact a local dealer and work out a price to inspect the printer, uninstall, reinstall, and train you on operation and maintenance. We also have some upcoming webinars and...
  16. VersaCAMM VS 540

Since I am from Roland and obviously biased, I will leave others to comment on how these machines performed in their shops, but I do want to point out that since we just introduced the VS-540 a couple of weeks ago, it is much more likely that this six month old machine is a VP-540i. There are...
  17. Roland V-540 Blue Banding

Good suggestions from the previous posters, here's a couple more: What media and profile are you using? There is a feed calibration built into most profiles that may need to be overridden if you are not printing the exact media that the profile was built for, or the profile could be putting...
  18. Versa works

I notice from some of your other posts that your printer is a few years old. If you are installing from the disks that came with it, that is likely VersaWorks 2.xx. You will need at least 3.xx to install on a Vista system, and Versaworks is currently up to 4.xx. I am guessing you can't do...
  19. Roland start-stop during print HELP!!!!

This kind of problem is usually related to either computer speed or a network issue. More processor power is always good, but I assume you are running a fairly fast system. Make sure your hard disk is defragged, and that you have the latest version of VersaWorks. It also sounds like you are...
  20. roland versaworks program update software

Here is a guide on how to get the updates either manually or automatically. The advantage of getting it from the Roland site in the US is that you will get the full profile library for all the media available here. http://rolanddga.com/owners/support/profiles/rolandnet.asp
