  2. Problem with lighted sign vinyl

Jhill, I don't know, as I've never experimented using the wrong materials for the job. I suppose you are correct. Lets say the yellow changed the hue of the gray. LOL Moot point...... If in doubt, wouldn't you throw a chunk of the vinyl against your desk light BEFORE you threw a chunk on...
  3. Problem with lighted sign vinyl

true.....I stand corrected on this particular application. Of course, if he didn't overlay the yellow, then the black wouldn't be gray, would it? If he had used a true block-out vinyl, then I see no problem doing it the way he did. ps. 651 is calendared vinyl. Always used to be...

  9. Problem with lighted sign vinyl

how about using the correct product for the job. Opaque vinyls are not translucent vinyl.....although they may be somewhat (just not the right colors). And DON'T layer vinyls on a lighted sign. What made you think that would be ok to do?????

  14. Front-adhesive techniques?

I would guess, if you were contemplating new equipment for this "ongoing" project, then it must be a fair sized job. That being said (assumed), spray adhesives or laminating the backs with white vinyl are the last options you should be considering. An economical alternative would be to buy an...
  15. Friday the 13th...two days early?

Sorry to hear about your sign James. Glad to hear no one was hurt. Amazing it could do that much damage.
  16. I'm not Safe Anywhere

That is ironic Wild. The part I thought was funny tho, was the need for a "Computer Diagnostic Tool" and the 6.0. They should come with a computer diagnostic tool in the glove box. jk
  17. Ladies........CHOCOLATE questions.

Milky Way and tea..... or will coffee do? Are we talking a "taste sensation" or is it more the hot beverage? If you're talking "taste sensation", then try coffee and anything with lots of mustard on it (preferably a bologna sandwich). Something about the coffee and mustard go well together...
  18. Ornate Street Sign and Post . ..

I'd ask him what his definition of "Cheap" is. ahhhhh..... guess you could start out with a piece of pvc pipe or even a heavy wall cardboard tube. But seriously, any way you look at it, you're gonna have a bunch of time messing around no matter how cheap the materials used.
