    Did you get the tension gauge from RS to set roll pressure? IIRC someone here said they're around 80 bucks. Someone on the forum also built one with a WalMart fish scale.     You'll have to report back on how well the printer works for you. IIRC there was only one other person on this site that had a WIT Color. And that was a few years ago. They seem to have disappeared.

    What is the durability of the gold foil? It would be printed on black for a boat transom. I'm new to the process and don't want to do things twice and hack off a client in the process.

    Wasn't WrapCut originally designed for the bed liner industry? If so that would explain the OP's issues.

    Best advice you will get today: Buy from the dealer that has the best tech/service and is closest to your shop. If they sell eco-sol get that. If they sell latex printers get one of those. Equipment breaks and you want a tech there same day. Downtime is the fastest way to lose customers...

    Try this: Open the PDF in acrobat and "burn" a PS file. VW really likes PS files.

    I prefer the Roland's loading set-up over HP's. So easy to switch media, set base points, and use the drops from other jobs. If I was constantly doing long runs or double sided banners the HP would have an edge.
