I am 100% design. Mostly freelance. I just recently posted about my frustration of working alone. I think if your specializing in regular mom and pop sign shop work, then that type of designer are a dime a dozen. Even if you are very very good, you have people going as low as 15 - 20 bucks...

Another thing is this... (Rick pet peeve #10,323) the use of the word "concepts" on a business name, logo or business card... in the 80's it was way overused. What are you selling.... signs and graphics or graphic design concepts... what are graphic design concepts? You other card had SIGNS...

ugh... nothing say 1995 sign shop than IMPACT, ERAS and SQUARE.... I see you did a little squeezy and slanty on the Eras.... To me this seems no better than the other one, except it's more legible. And I agree ditch the oval! I KNOW YOU CAN DO BETTER!!!

I only get stuck when something is on my mind... I walk it off, look at a few books or older magazines I have not cracked open in a while, go get a coffee, taunt the parrots, then go back to the design process.

I worked for a guy who did that.. in fact he was in Buena Park (thats where I'm from) It was a mess, some people had no clue how to use a computer, the hardware was supplied by a company and was not quite ready, and the class could only go as fast as the slowest person... it was like herding cats.
