Gosh, I like it... kinda reminded me a little of Quizno's frenchy/cafe store posters but with an avant garde, kitschy nautical theme with a KFC 50's vernacular twist I don't know why people are hung up on the Obama poster... Shepard Fairey pinched that look from early constructivism way before...

Are you any good? Do you have sign experience? What does your advertising look like? Maybe you suck at signwork or advertising, maybe you are really good at signwork and advertising, but the area is severely depressed. Kinda hard to say what's wrong without more info or seeing the goods.

I do agree there is a lot of clutter. Double face cards are not that much more.... When you practice, you will start collecting quite a few ideas, I rarely recycle on real jobs but you might be able to use as your old ideas (once you have collected enough) as a foundation for other clients...

At 875,000 - 1.5 million in start-up cost for a Melting Pot, I'm thinking a Signs by Tommorrow is a cheaper alternative... Oh, there is a melting pot close to me... may have to check it out...
