  1. Four color t-shirt design

Okay, pinstripes it is. Or at least something retro to go with the car. I'm not very good at retro design, though. It's something I'm gonna have to work on.
  2. Four color t-shirt design

The design is done in black, white, red, and grey. The grey you see isn't halftones, but areas of grey ink. It's probably impossible to distinguish that from the resolution of the image I posted. I really wanted to keep the car illustration as simple as possible, so I would have preferred no...
  3. Four color t-shirt design

Thanks for the input. Taking what you said into consideration, I have to agree with you on all accounts. I never noticed the white in "automotive" and how it all seems to run together a little too much. It does make it harder to read. The sad thing is that word was created from a clip art...
  4. 2013 Walldogs Design

I think the design looks fantastic and the colors feel warm and inviting to me. The only thing I didn't get at first glance was the pink strap on the mask. I wondered what it was until I really took a good look. I don't think it's necessary and the black empty eye holes keyed me in to the...
  5. Four color t-shirt design

Here's a t-shirt design I am working on for a local business here in my town. I started with a pretty low res photo of the car they wanted on their shirts. I traced it with Corel Draw X5 and rendered the halftones in Photoshop. I also did color separations in Photoshop. The beach graphic is...
  6. Oracal Price Increase

    Yes it is.
  7. need to outsource corplast screenprint signs

I would think cost would be the issue. Screen printing would seem to me to be the most economical solution for any order of more than 2 or 3 coroplast signs. Not to mention the least labor intensive.
  8. card layout

    Less is more. ;)
  9. Equipment thoughts

M&R is who we will likely get all of our future equipment from. We started with a Lawson press and it's certainly disappointing in many aspects. We have m&r dryers though and we love them. M&R seems to have great support. Lawson, on the other hand, not so much.
  10. Congrats to Joe Diaz

I would also love to watch Joe at work. I'm a newbie to Corel so it would be interesting to see what someone with Joe's experience can do with it. Congratulations again. Outstanding accomplishment!
  11. Paint can label template

Circumference = diameter x Pi Use this formula for width, measure the height, add a bleed margin and you have your template.
  12. Printing for personal use

Thanks for the great responses. I definitely think it's going to be in our best interest to be up front and make sure the customer okays it. I just wAnted to hear other's opinions on the subject. It seems there's a little grey area but I think most customers won't mind especially if we ask...
  13. Printing for personal use

So I've been wondering lately about something. We screen print apparel for various customers, some businesses, some organizations, some benefits, and some individuals. Occasionally we design something that we really like so we print an extra shirt or two for ourselves. Is there ever a...
  14. Problems with Zinsser Bullseye 1-2-3

So what was the problem? Please share.
  15. Another fail sign

    Reply fail? Lol.
  16. which one would you go with?

I think either looks great, depending on whether you want to include Inc. or not. I really like the design. It's simple and clean and the typography works very well for a sign company logo. It looks like you really put a lot of time, and consideration into it.
  17. Any Dexter Fans Out There?

Dexter is fantastic! I've been a huge fan since the beginning. Weeds is another great Showtime series.
  18. Thoughts On This Logo?

    I thought "bike rack?"
  19. How do I find this arch!?

Is the photo already skewed to some degree? The photo doesn't look like it's taken that far out of perspective. I would just create a Photoshop image that is sized to your height and width dimensions (or down-scaled equivalent) and use the skew, perspective, and scale tools to get it to proper...
  20. insane photoshop skills

Very cool, inspiring video. At first glance I thought it was going to be some overdone, generic anime crap. But it turned out to be like nothing I expected at all. Definitely not a waste of 11 minutes. Oh yeah...and by the way, I watch Break.com videos at least 4 or 5 nights a week. Can't...
