  1. L26500 Waves

So...I'm supposed to clean 20' length of 60" banner material before I print on it???!! Uh...I don't think so. There has to be a better solution. Or a material that this doesn't happen with.
  2. L26500 Waves

Hmm...I've not seen a 'latex specific' banner material....or any material for that matter. Everything in every catalog says "for solvent, eco-solvent, latex..." Now there are Aqueous only materials....but that's a different beast (HP 5500, etc.) What exactly did you get that says 'for Latex'?
  3. L26500 Waves

Resurrecting this thread....I am having this issue on our newly acquired L260. AND this is on Ultraflex 13 oz Jetflex. Been running this material forever on our Roland. Now seems we have to switch brands. Or will reducing the vacuum and/or heat get rid of this? I also see the ink looks blotchy...
  4. Anyone using 440 cc Inks in their Roland?

I have never seen any message saying "shake the cartridge".
  5. Anyone using 440 cc Inks in their Roland?

Yes, I know that, but that's part of the problem....the dinger will go off, but when I pull that cart, it's still got ink, sometimes 1/4, sometimes half. Then I pop it back in and printer shows full again. If I don't keep track of those, I run the risk of it REALLY running out dead middle of a...
  6. Anyone using 440 cc Inks in their Roland?

That's weird. It ALWAYS resets to full if you take one out. If I completely shut down the printer overnight I think they do set themselves back to the actual level. Guess I'll talk to my repair guy and see what he knows about it.
  7. I need opinions about Flexi Sign and Adobe Illustrator...

This didn't answer his question, at all.
  8. Anyone using 440 cc Inks in their Roland?

Does anyone using 440cc inks have issues with the printer and/or Versaworks indicating the wrong level in each cart? I have noticed that it never is right. I have even had the printer stop to tell me to change a color, only to find the damn thing is still half full! So I shake up and reinsert...
  9. FLEXI vs. Onyx 10

I agree as well. While Flexi may not be perfect, I find it the easiest for my workflow. Making my own Profiles is much easier in Flexi than Versa (with iOne as well). Only downside is Flexi can slow down some if you are ripping large files in Prod. Mgr.... it is best to set up the RIP on another...
  10. Applying Laminate By Hand?

Define smaller jobs.... yes you can do by hand, but it's slow and time consuming. You can get the Big Squeegee that is good for one off prints. Depends on your workflow and what you do. If you print rolls and rolls of vinyl, get a laminator asap.
  11. Dry Erase Boards

That's what I'm trying to avoid...Dry Erase Lam does that too. That's why they want the real deal.
  12. Dry Erase Boards

I know I can do that. Customer wants dry erase boards....that is why I asked if anyone knew of a local supplier. Had one years ago but forgot who it was.
  13. Dry Erase Boards

Anyone know of a Dallas area supplier of 4' x8' Dry Erase Boards, without a frame?
  14. install 4ft X 18ft panel on wall

This should not be hard....tape the whole thing to the wall, getting it level. Hinge the middle vertically, lay one half then the other...providing you have 2 people.
  15. Illustrator vs. Gimp

Yep... I use Flexi more way more than Illustrator for vector design now....it's so much easier when editing shapes, etc. Then I export as EPS and import to Illustrator as needed.

  17. Uh...this sucks - Flexi nesting??

I think this is a design flaw in Flexi / Prod Mgr. Can't believe it hasn't been addressed before.
  18. Uh...this sucks - Flexi nesting??

Nesting is greyed out for the cut files. That was my first thought.... "oh you have to nest the cut files". But no can do.
  19. Uh...this sucks - Flexi nesting??

Group them how? There is nothing in Prod Mgr for that....simply nest. Both jobs are in 1 nested file, with Reg Marks. But there are still 2 cut files....I don't think you're following me.
