  1. Discussion Seiko II Color Painter M-64s Running in Production Speed

Doesn't sound right to me. I also run the h2-74s. The only time we've had to replace a print head was if it had a lot of strikes... And even then, a strike here or there will cause the print head to get "Worst", but it takes a lot of strikes, unless it's a really bad one.. to need replacing...
  2. Conformable reflective

We Use 3M 680 here. Wrapped hundreds of hydro/electrical boxes... which have rivets, non removable bolts, etc. It's probably the most conformable stuff I've used... you'll have no problem with it. But as others have said...expensive as heck. It's really good vinyl though, you can't go wrong...
  3. Graphtec FC8000 cutting strip

You want as little blade exposed as possible. Generally you test it on a piece of vinyl first... Take the blade holder out of the machine, run it against the vinyl, and turn it up so its just enough to cut through the vinyl + score the backing paper. then adjust pressure - Vinyl doesn't change...
  4. Graphtec FC8000 cutting strip

I think it depends on what your cutting. When cutting Diamond grade / EG grade, My strip tends to get cut into quite a bit. Because of the chrystals / skewing in the DG, Some spots tend to cut deeper than others. If I cut a lot of DG, my strip tends to die pretty quick. If just vinyl/EG, it...
  5. Printer "Erased" a color?

I used the same file, and printed it smaller size and it did print. I also just found out a bar of the same color was missing... so it looks like onyx changed the color to white for some reason (The blue is overlapping a grey, so if it just deleted the blue, you'd think it'd have printed the...
  6. Printer "Erased" a color?

Good morning! I'm running a Seiko H2-74 with Onyx 10. I just had a print come back, because there was a section of the file missing. A blue square about the size of 2 inches, with white text on the inside just disappeared. I'll attach a photo - The image on the left is what it's supposed to...
  7. Has anyone heard of CentricaInk.com?

Usually I agree. But the place I found it from had a few good reviews, including some posts from signs101 people! They also have offices in America + London... Was a big company. It's just cutting out the middle man. It's like sheet metal. You can buy it from China for 1/4 the price if...
  8. Has anyone heard of CentricaInk.com?

Luckily I'm in Canada. It'll be interesting to see how things shape up in America with trump, though! I think so long as your not selling an inferior product, no reason not.to charge the same price. Like my cheapo graphite blades - it cuts exactly the same. And while I'd like to support...
  9. Has anyone heard of CentricaInk.com?

H2-74s. I believe they use the same. I'm at work, but I'll look when I get home.
  10. Has anyone heard of CentricaInk.com?

Only problem with that is price. Grapghtec blades are about $150 CAD here... I bought a set of 6 blades for $7.50 shipped from china, and while it may not last as long... I've been using the same blade for 6+ months, and no signs of chipping / bad cutting yet. Seiko head... $4500 here. Found it...
  11. RIP computer?

What are you ripping? Huge 20 FT posters, road signs, etc? For ripping..does it really matter to you how long it takes to rip? For our workshop, we use an older pc. All files are on the network, so we rip via network, with a non-SSD HD. Road signs take maybe 10-20 seconds to rip... huge posters...
  12. Print stopped. Rip software is closed. No error messages. Damn Win update!

Windows 10 sucks in this way, it's why I wont update past windows 7. However, all you need to do is mark your connection as "limited", and then it wont download any updates unless you ask it to. Then you can still update whenever you want to, and you wont have it automatically restart on you...
  13. Another Material Exclusive only at Gans! Printable Wood Grain TEXTURED Films!

I think what theyre getting at, is how does it look, when it gets joined together? If I were to use it as wallpaper (I wouldn't!) Would it look "Seamless", or would it be easy to tell theres two 48" pieces butted together?
  14. Fun at the shop

Whoever made these has a good career in advertising... You just got me to watch 5 ads willingly. Good work!
  15. Seal 62 Ultra S laminator stuck in slow snail mode

Speaking of... Anyone know of a way to disable the laser? My metal bar is bent a little, and sometimes it trips the eye when it shouldn't. It gets annoying on really long runs. I get that its there for safety, but they should have a better option. or a way to temp disable it... I was going to...
  16. Font Help Graphic Tracer can ID over 100,000 fonts

You're right. I'm currently paying $18ish or something per month, Must be on a grandfathered plan. I wouldn't pay anymore for it than that... I'd rather goto free software, which isn't as good, but good enough, which is the point! Adobe was smart. They were a one time fee, trained and got so...
  17. Need Help Graphtec FC-8000-130 error E01019

Backup your settings, then do a factory reset on it. (Can backup via the plotter software in windows). "On most of our printers/plotters, turn power off, hold down the "up" arrow button (^) and turn the power on while holding the button. NOVRAM will begin and just follow the queues" This...
  18. Font Help Graphic Tracer can ID over 100,000 fonts

Looks good. And I know I've mentioned this before... as have many others, but I hope you re-consider the monthly fee model. Consider you can pay $15 a month, and you get access to ALL of adobes products... You can see why when people compare, some may think it's not worth it and move on. I'd...
  19. Is my calculator wrong

I was going to say... your time is worth more than a penny, pulling out that calculator and checking... I wouldn't bother. But I bet thats what they want you to do! If they do it to every customer.. And its a big supplier... thats an extra decent chunk of cash. Call up and ask? Maybe it's an...
  20. Homemade Rolls Roller: Any suggestions

We just had the glass on ours break.... had to get some new glass. On rolls roller, it has to be clear, since theres lights underneath... makes it easy for cutting / lining up where to place graphics. I'd suggest you install lights, and glass.... if not glass, it has to be something hard. If...
